trade

I am very interested in trading you my 1987 Iroc if you are interested. My trade would be The car with the original 305 TPI and 5 speed plus a fresh with only 50 miles on it shortblock built aluminum headed L-98 355 from a 1989 corvette. The motor is not installed in the car but im sure you could handle it considering you have already put together a very respectable chevelle. I am selling the car and the motor for 7,500

I hope i dont get yelled at for posting my car on here. Its no 12 second car but it is a very nice 86 IROC that has a brand new 4000 dollar paint job and body work. If you dropped a built 350 in it would be a rocket. I have a 9 bolt 3.27 posi that im planning on installing in the next few weeks as well. I have lots of money in this ride even though i have no real performance upgrades so i will completely understand you saying no to it. I just have to dream...oh yea 70 chevelle and me..good dream .

you'll have well over 17K into it to make it worth 17K. Also, plain hardtop Malibus are not worth more than $15K in excellent condition. Not a bad car for 3500-4500 though. How many holes are in the floorboards? how much filler is in each quarter? rockers?

Why can I see your garage floor on the lower left? Anything behind the white bag on the passenger floor? I dont see any coilovers in the pics...can you post a better pic? That looks like some thick filler in the quarter where it got dented... are you sure there isn't any other filler in the car?

Have you ever fully restored a car? do you know what it actually costs for body panels, materials and/or labor...or do you know just what you read on the internet? Want to give me the trans (by the midplate)and rearend (on the front side of the right axle tube)stampings and decode them for you to see if they are from a "real SS"?

Nice car, good luck with the sale. I would've traded it for the low mile 4th gen already, if that's true.

Nick thats not garage floor, the metal in that area was in a couple layers if i recall correctly. While working on my buick, i buffed out the floor and primered it to stop the rust, the light shone through all the holes except in the spot you are talking about where the floor starts turning into the firewall. Theres still another peice of metal under there, and usually it is rusty too, but ill give camaroman benefit of the doubt.

I am confused. Are you saying that just the top layer is rusted? Or are you saying that that the part in the lower left of the pic is not metal at all since there is "zero floor rust"?

yea i know what area nick is talking about. Im saying that, if you look at the shadow cast in the hole, it looks to be less than an inch away, a garage floor would not be that close.

On my skylark, there was two layers of metal with some space in between in that particular area. Im saying that usually they dont rust exactly the same, so they wont cause a see through hole right to the floor. The inside may rust in one spot, and the outside may rust 2 or 3 inches to the right, so light cannot shine straight through it. However, exhaust fumes will get in.

Thats not ZERO rust though. A floor that is rusty like that, means moisture is getting in. A carpet and the old insulations on these cars acts just like a sponge, it'll soak it up,a nd the air pockets and water cause rust. Usually the lowest parts of the floor pan will be rusted the most, and driver's side is usually the worst. Id like a better shot of the floor to see what the rest of it looks like.

Wow, we have alot of haters here. It is a nice car. If you do not wish to trade then take your garbage elsewhere. 7k for that car is not unreasonable. Again, if you do not believe it is worth it, then do not buy it.

Camaroman, your car is nice, you already know what I think about it. There is an @ss for every seat, just wait and someone who has alwys wanted this car will give you what you want.

Obviously we dont if its getting this much attention. No one is hating, just trying to get the facts straight.

It is a nice car. If you do not wish to trade then take your garbage elsewhere.
You defend a car youve never seen, and then have the nerve to call ours garbage?

Again, if you do not believe it is worth it, then do not buy it.
Ultimately thats what will happen. Its a shame camaroman advertised it in a such a "shady" way. If its really that good, then everyone on here missed a good deal. Hope that LS1 trade works out.

If having people question the accuracy of something up for sale bothers you then turn your computer off.

ok

im so shady i put the picture up instead of throwing the carpet in and saying perfect floors 100% top notch.its a 70 model chevelle are these things falling off trees where u guys are from. because down here there rare in any shape.theres a reason a super hard to find car that is highly wanted by the muscle car crowd is being sold for 7,000.it has some conration (spell it wrond i know) but its still soild and my garge floor has tan carpet laid down . so everyone saying i see the floor you would be looking at carpet.so if you want it pm me (note you will be put in line if the trade i got now falls threw)and ill get back with you.this is a pretty soild muscle car. didnt make it 37 years with out some wear in tear . never said it was mint or rust free.

PLEASE DO NOT POST ON THIS ADD ANYMOMRE I WILL BE REPOSTING A NEW ADD .SO PEOPLE DONT GET SCARED BY POEOPLE SAYING THE SEE MY FLOOR ARE YALL SUPERMAN OR SOMETHING WITH XRAY VISION .

Apparently the seller has a reputation on LS1 tech for car transactions. If he was in the business in selling junk then it would show.

Second, you are not trying to verify any sort of accuracy, you are cutting down on the seller. There is a difference in saying "Hey those are not coil-overs they are stockers" and saying "I like your fred flinstone floor"

Again, no one wishes to be bothered by ignorant people that is pretty much on the same lines of catfish. Big mouth, little brain.

#1. Facts are very important. Cutting down the seller with stupid remarks is not.
#2. Garbage was not implied as your rides, garbage meant someones' smack talk. "Take your garbage elsewhere, meant take your BS elsewhere"
#3. He has a transaction reputation with buying and selling cars on LS1 Tech. I do not think the seller was shady, perhaps misinformed, but honest mistake.

"Zero floor rust" and there is obvious rust and "coilovers" where they are none. You are calling the wrong people ignorant. I would be beyond pissed off if I read his description and made a trip to see the car in person.
