That car, that price? Are you drinking?
Last question, I swear:
What's really wrong with it? If it's like it could be real, that is a steal...

Back to this car though, I think the real story of why it is so cheap has not been made clear yet. Either it's missing some pistons or "eldavid" has a crack habit. Either way, if it sells for this price and is in good shape, all our cars just depreciated.

This is my favorite car of all time, but it has been the most painful to own. I've owned this car for 5 years, but only driven it 15k miles. Not because I wanted to keep the mileage low, or make it a garage queen, or show it at the Concourse d'Elegance in 20 years, but because it keeps breaking down and I haven't been able to drive it as much as I wanted.
The three major episodes with this car have been the tranny, cats, and injectors. Each time, the car would sit in the garage for months until I could save up the money to get the ailment taken care of. Instead of spending money to beef up the suspension, converting to LS1/T56, etc., I've spent almost the same amount of cash on labor just to keep it running (or rather, get it running again).
So, you could say that I've been drinking because it's a wonder that I've stuck with this car this long. The latest episode is with the SES light. When it comes on, the speedometer goes out of whack and the engine hiccups, hence why I think it's the VSS. In the last few months, I've used it to commute to work a few times and it's been running like champ. I know that the problem (or maybe more than one problem) lingers, but it just hasn't shown itself recently. One more issue I forgot to mention is that there is a round crack in the upper end of the windshield about two inches in diameter.
So there it is. I'm letting it go this cheap to fellow 3rd Gen enthusiasts only (along with firm advice to immediately get it diagnosed by Benny). If I have to go to craigslist or autotrader or park it on the sidewalk w/ a For Sale sign, I'll ask more like $5k. Feel free to post any other questions or concerns.

p.s. Camaros have been my crack habit ever since I learned to drive. I had an 85 Berlinetta and a 95 3800. I was foaming at the mouth when I found this Z and drove it home.

This car is clean and in good shape. I knew he has been thinking of selling it since I worked on it. If I have the money then or now it would have been mine already.

Bennie: If it was your car, what would you spend to make it perfect? Are we talking ignition, or fuel delivery? Exhaust?? I'm guessing it is failing smog. This might make me feel better about my car.
Spill it. Terrell needs a daily driver.
