1990 IROC Convertible, red/black charcoal, cd, PW PS, 6 way Pwr Drv seat. PDB PDL intermittent wipers (never used) cruise control, Prestige alarm system, Clarion stereo Posi Traction. I have been a member of thirdgen since Sept 02. I have only driven it 1k since the motor swap. Comes with 2 covers. Always garage kept and overmaintained. It has a well documented upgrade to a vette L98 with 10-1 compression. Anything that could be replaced, was; rerodded radiator, clutch, timing chain, sensors, computer, water pump, starter, alternator, battery, belts, hoses, distributor, cap, wires The mech overroad the temp sensor to make the fans run all the time, hence no overheating. It has the original exhaust and new 19lb injectors on speed density. I have a clear NJ title in hand. I am looking for $8500. and will negotiate if you have your own transportation and have cash in an envelope. Forget about lowballing me, because I don't need to sell.
71k miles, Very nice, no sun fade, rust, etc. The IROC rides better then my BMW and Vette. This is a car that you can drive and enjoy it on the road from day 1. The only problems it has- the dreaded hyperactive tachometer, (unfixable, I think) AC needs to be looked at. It has a little DUST on it, but Absolutely NO RUST. You really have to look close for stone chips.
All options except G92, and all original down to the Bilsteins.

It's always nice to get through the NJ inspection. They always jump all over the IROC, climb under the dash, open the hood, run vin numbers, heater controls, everything. They always let the 5 foreign cars ahead go right through. They jump all over my vette too. The IROC gets attention everywhere you go. This one is immediately driveable anywhere. No check engine lights, no overheating, new battery 09/09. No vibrations, strange noises. just drive.

Should I be offended that they only revved the engine more than they had to when I took my Firebird through inspection last week? Sounds like they liked the IROC a little more.
sniff sniff IROC is gone. sold and is on it's way to Pittsburg. I only hope the Model A forum is going to be as informative as thirdgen. thanks everyone. Who knows maybe someday I will go back to an F-Body but it will only be a 1967 RS/SS convertible.
