I am the second owner of this 1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS, and I have owned the car since 1994. Purchased in bone stock condition the car was modified over the years to the level it is currently in. During it's last transformation I unfortunatly began to lose interest in the project all together. Now after being stored indoors for 2 years I have decided to let go of the car. I have invested over 25,000.00 in the car, the engine has under 1000 miles on it. I would love to keep the car stored for another 2 years but I simply must let go of this project. The car has a custom built 383ci (6.5 liter) engine backed by a custom built racing automatic transmission. The entire suspension and steering system has been replaced and upgraded including the front subframe. The brakes, cooling and interior have also been modified and upgraded. The car is factory purple haze metallic in color with a black interior and is equipped with a T-top roof. The car in general is in good condition, the paint has started to fade in certain areas and the front bumper has been replaced but not painted. There are some minor door dings and the passenger side fender is also slightly dented. The car has AC, A/T, P/S, PW, PL, PT, and anti-theft. The car has a clean title and is not a salvage vehicle.
Major Modifications Include:
Balanced and Blueprinted 4 bolt main 383ci long block. Scat crankshaft, eagle forged connecting rods, JE flat top forged pistons, high volume blue printed oil pump. ARP studs used throughout to secure main caps, oil pump, and cylinder heads. Canton racing 7QT oil pan fitted with crank scraper and windage tray.
Air Flow Research 195cc Aluminum cylinder heads. CNC port matched and serviced by Gromm Racing Heads.
TPIS ZZ-9 hydraulic roller camshaft / Comp Cams high rev series lifters / manley chromoly pushrods / Crane roller rockers.
Accel / Lingenfelter Super Ram Plenum and Runners with custom port matched Edelbrock lower manifold. Entire intake manifold has been fully hand ported. BBK 58mm twin blade Throttle Body.
MSD Digital 6 plus ignition with crane PS-91 coil and taylor spiro-pro wires. NGK spark plugs.
SLP 1-3/4 inch shorty style hedders with smog tubes, modified SLP Y-pipe and custom built 3 inch exhaust with a single 3 inch magnaflow muffler.
Custom built 700-R4 automatic transmission with upgraded band, clutches, servo, customized valve body, precision industries 3500rpm stall racing torque converter (with lockup feature.) B&M stacked plate transmission cooler with aeroquip lines and fittings.
Custom built 3" seamless steel driveshaft with 1 ton universal joints. Built by South Bay Driveline.
Auburn positraction rear differential with 3.42:1 ring and pinion. Amsoil synthetic gear oil used.
Griffin aluminum racing radiator dual 1-1/2" rows. Fitted with flex-a-lite dual 12 inch computer controlled fans.
Pro-Fab custom tubular front subframe powdercoated black with reinforcement gussets added. Spohn "wonderbar" steering box reinforcement bar.
Pro-Fab Tubular front control arms with delrin bushings.
Custom Bel-tech 2 inch drop spindles modified and fitted with 12 inch rotors and dual piston PBR calipers (same brake system that is equipped on the 2000 camaro SS.)
Tubular adjustable rear control arms and adjustable panhard bar with heim joints. Tubular torque arm with adjustable pinion angle and heim joints. Eibach rear coil springs.
Harwood fiberglass "Bolt On" cowl induction hood. Hinges and latch are fully functional.
Custom fuel delivery system with high output Walbro fuel pump and aeromotive pressure regulator. Aeroquip stainless steel lines and fittings used throughout.
Monaco RS racing seats (matching driver and passenger side) with slider and recline adjustability
Autometer pro-comp silver series gauges and 5” monster tachometer. Guages include oil temp, trans temp, air/fuel, fuel pressure, vac/boost.
Hella H4 conversion headlamps with high light output H4 bulbs.
The purchase of the car also includes a set of Edelbrock weld-in subframe connectors, Edelbrock strut tower brace, a custom fitted all weather car cover (300.00 retail value) Owner's manual, receipts dating back to 1994, and extra T-top bag. The car is currently located in California and registered as a PNO (planned non-operation) all matters concerning registration of the vehicle after purchase shall be the responsibility of the buyer. The yearly fees for PNO registration have been paid so there should be no back fees associated with this car. Please note that due to the Level of modification to the car it is being sold as a custom racing vehicle. While the parts used in the transformation of the vehicle carry C.A.R.B. exemption numbers I make no guarantees as the the ability of this car to pass a state emissions test. Again in it's current condition this car is for off-highway racing purposes only. Please feel free to email or call me with questions or if you are interested in the car. I am willing to work with an out of state buyer concerning shipment of the vehicle. Asking price is 8000.00 FIRM. I can be reached at (408)221-5202 or emailed at max_maro92@yahoo.com

its a 96 Z71 extended cab truck. red with grey leather interior. worn otu driver seat. AC works. 4L60 transmission. 180k miles? still runs like new, same mileage, same smooth engine....Vortec 350
Yes the front still needs paint, it is in the exact condition as described and shown in the pictures above.
Here is a link to the car at idle. I would say that it runs well, but that is just my opinion.
Back from the dead.
Actually back home, Camaro never sold before I left, now I'm back and it's still here. Still interested in selling the car, considering the economy will take any reasonable offer. Contact info is still the same as in the original post.
The sale of my car is basically first come first serve, if it hasn't sold by the time you receive your settlement than by all means your welcome to buy it. However I will not turn down a favorable offer for the car at this point.
I can arrange shipping the car if your interested.
man I love this car, I have a 92 rs as well, but it is to far gone to even mess with. I would really consider the buy if you were not on the west coast.
So the original post is 1+ year old, can you give us an update of what has changed with the car since the original post. Miles on the "new" engine? What is the status of the computer in the car, seems like it would run like heck with all the mods. Custom programming?
I'm on the west coast

In the 1+ year since I originally put the post up nothing has changed with the car. I has been stored for a few years now with the only activity being regular startups. The car has not been "driven" in quite some time but gets moved around occasionally from the garage to the yard (where the pictures were taken.) The computer in the car is a stock #1227730 ECU hooked to a street and performance "Integrator" sub harness (the car was originally TBI.) The car has a custom chip in it from S&P but the configuration changed from when the chip was made so it is in need of tuning. The car is safe to drive with the current tune, the change was to lower the compression from 11.8:1 down to a more reasonable 10.5:1. This was accomplished when the cylinder heads were changed from a set of ported trick flow twisted wedge heads to a set of Air Flow Research 195cc heads. There is tons more info I can give you on the specifics of the engine if you like, shoot me a PM, email or phone call.
Thanks.

Sounds good, I'll check in with you in two months to see where your at.
Sale of the car also includes Moates chip burner (BURN II), two 27SF512 EEPROMS and an ALDL diagnostic cable.
Price has been altered back to original asking amount due to a change in my financial circumstance. I will no longer be entertaining low ball offers, sorry guys but for five months I was in need of cash and would have taken any reasonable offer on the car but just never got one.
this is one nice car! do you have any vids of the car in action? How did it run with the 11.8:1 comp u had befor...did it run good on pump gas? sure wish i could sale my s-10 so i could pick this up!
