due to my purchase of a 96' LT4 Vette, im selling my 1984 Z28 hardtop that ive owned for the last 6 years. its located in Newark, DE 19711. the car has 107,xxx original miles on it. its tagged for the next year and has a clear DE title. its got the 5.0L (305ci) LG4 engine mated to a 700R4. car was rated stock with 150hp/240ftlbs. its got a non-posi 10bolt with 3.23 gears. its white with grey ground effects
the interior is kinda a reddish/orange color with "Camaro" lettering on the front and back seats. carpet and dash is black. there is no stereo in the car... i removed all the aftermarket components i had in there to install them in the Vette. there are one or two minor wear holes in the seats and carpet, but for a 24 year old car, the interior is in great shape. it has just about every power option... locks, windows, mirrors (brakes and steering of course), cruise, delay wipers, etc
the body is in decent shape with only minor dings, but it will need a repaint (again, its a 24 year old car). there are some minor rust spots, but its only surface rust. there is a 8" x 8" dent right behind the drivers side door where it was hit by a car pulling out of a gas station (10mph impact at MOST)
the car has been modded slightly with a flex fan, K&N 2.25" open element filter, 180* stat, timing bumped to 8* BTDC, and a dynomax 2.5" catback. the A/C was removed (didnt work when i bought it and the compressor was siezed), as well as the AIR system. i did a full tune (plugs, wires, cap, rotor) about 7k miles ago. the front and rear brakes were done about 15k miles ago. i just replaced a broken stabilizer link in the rear. both the power steering pump and water pump were replaced about 10k miles ago. it also has a new heater core. the tires have about 40 - 50% tread left. i took it to the track a few years ago with the above mods and it turned a 15.6 at 87mph with a 2.2 60ft. this was in the heat of July, so im sure it could do a bit better in colder air and with the carb tuned (see below)
looking to get $1200 for the car, which i think is fair due to it being tagged and driveable. i drove it to Lancaster PA about 6 months ago (its an hour and a half away from me), so it can go the distance and is reliable. if bought out of state, itll probably need the Qjet tuned to pass emissions, as i couldnt get it quite right (im more of a fuel injection guy). i JUST got it to pass a year ago, but it obviously could run a lot cleaner after its tuned by someone who is more familiar with carb setups
thanks for looking

- 100% bone stock... 14.54 at 94.44mph
97' Saturn SC2 (1.9L 4cyl DOHC/5speed)
- also 100% bone stock, but much slower than the Regal!
98' Chevrolet Camaro Z28 (LS1/4L60E/3.23s)
- hard to believe, but its actually 100% bone stock also!
That sounds like a fair deal for what you're offering, and I'd certainly like to see some pictures. Good luck with selling your ride, it sounds like it stands to make the buyer very happy.
Sounds like a really awesome ride, id probably take you up on it if this were the summer, but as it stands im not going to be able to buy or store a car for a few months..
Hey woulod like to take a look at the car. I work on Main street in Newark and live out by I-95. Cna you send me an address and phone number so I can set up time to view the car? Sounds like is in great for what I am looking for.

id rather not show the car at my personal residence. perhaps we could arrange to meet somewhere? i dont have a cell or house phone so id have to limit communicating to the net. hope thats not an issue. let me know
hmm, after i ask if i can meet people to show the car somewhere OTHER than my personal residence, the interested parties suddenly vanish. come on guys, my house is nothing special
Hey, sorry that I seemed to fall off for a bit. Had some issues and have been out of town. If you still have car and interested in showing it off, I would like to see it. You can meet me on Main St in Newark. If you can I would prefer Friday in the afternoon. Just give me a good time. Meeting place would be Newark Shopping Center. Let me know what you think. I will be back on later tonite and tomorrow during the day.

car is still for sale
theyre calling for heavy rain on Fri... so it doesnt look like that will be a good day to show the car. Things could change tho, but in case it does rain all day, would Sat or Sun work for you? let me know
Sunday would be a great day for me. In fact that might work a bit better. Give me a time and we can still meet in the Newark Shopping Center on Main Street. Looking forward to seeing you and discussing the car!!! I'm very excited about it.
Meet by Rita's in the Newark Shopping Center.I will be in a Black 4x4 GMC with a white eagle, globe, and anchor in the back window. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Hey, thanks for showing the car! Very Beautiful!!! Still working on issue, but HR Block is saying the 11th is when I can do my taxes. If you want to go ahead and put in paper to see if you can sell fast, please do. I don't want you to be waiting on us. At least put in paper and see if you get anymore bites on the car. I am sure that if you don't sell it with-in a few weeks I will pick it up, but at least put it in the paper and see what you might get. If nothing else I will reimburse you for paper add to go along with asking price. Looking forward to talking to you again.
still have it. sorry, no pics tho. i was kinda hoping to sell locally so i didnt have to borrow a digital camera, take pics, put them on the net, etc, etc
ive been using it for my daily driver for the last 2 weeks cause my fiance borrowed my 05' Sunfire to go to her grandparents in Pittsburg. the car is very reliable. its the perfect canidate for someone whos looking for a car they can mod/restore while driving it everyday
Me again. Would like to see the car. I live in Dover but am in NC county just about every day. Going to Bear this morning. Send me an email ctollinger@comcast.net with when we can sent something up. Thanks
I'm gonna be in DE this Saturday and I would like to set something up to come and see the Camaro if you still have it. I have cash on hand. Drop me an email at straightforward_60@yahoo.com so we can further discuss it. Thanks Danielle
cars are advertised locally in the paper with no pics and still manage to sell
people looking for cars in this price range should have a pretty good idea what they generally look like, as well as condition
Not meaning offence but you seem to have a 94 corvette , camaro , sunfire according to your profile and yet you dont own a digital camera?
Several of the third gen members are ineterested in your car ad on this forum
which you have posted on and you say that you dont have to post pictures because we should know what we are getting for that price? Your being kinda short with fellow third gen members that are ineterested dont ya think?
Further you say you would prefer to sell locally. WELL THATS GREAT BUT THEN WHY POST ON THE THIRD GEN FORUM WHICH IS ALL OVER THE U.S.A?

yes, that is correct (actually, its a 96 LT4 Vette)... however, what does that have to do with me owning a digital camera? i also have two mortgages, credit cards, insurance on the 3 cars, etc. i cant afford any other "extras" like a digital camera due to the fact that i have so much money wrapped up in my house and cars. hell, i dont even have cable TV or a computer! in fact, the only way i can even access the internet is when im at work

no matter how badly you or other members on this forum want to see "pics", there wont be any. bottom line, end of story. i believe if youre REALLY serious about the car, youd come to see it in person. most people who want to view an online picture are just e-tire kickers anyway

why? cause there are alot of members here who live in the general area that i do (DE/VA/MD/PA/NJ). its just another way to get the car advertised and get more people to look at it. and since this is a thirdgen forum, i know 99% of the people here are interested in these cars. id probably have a better chance selling it thru here than on autotrader, my local paper, etc
interested in car, would like to see this sunday, let me know, thanks Brandon
sorry guys. since i dont have a home computer, the only way i can access the internet is thru my work. i also work third shift, so any post made between 6:00am friday morning thru 9:59pm sunday night i wont see until i get back to work
