Re: 1992 HERITAGE camaro z28 350ci very nice!!

I BOUGHT IT FROM A GUY IN OHIO IN 2003 - 2004? WITH ONLY 51,000 MILES. HE PUT ON THE HEADERS,CAM, AIR INLET CUT OUT,CHIP, 3.73 GEARS,FLOWMASTER, AIR FOIL, FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR AND SHIFT KIT. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAS BEEN DONE AFTER I SOLD IT. LOW END TORGUE IS UNBELIEVABLE! I THINK HORSEPOWER WAS A LITTLE OVER 200 AT WHEELS. 500 FT POUNDS OF TORQUE. IT HAD AN EXHAUST LEAK AND A BAD SPARK PLUG WIRE AT TIME OF DYNO.I WOULD SAY 265-285 HORSEPOWER WHEN IN MOTION TO GET MORE TRUE RAM AIR EFFECT.IT SURE WILL MAKE SOMEONE A GREAT RIDE!

I got the pictures, thanks man, looks great. Going back to the bike, are you interested in a trade plus cash on my part?

I was to have the bike sold today, guy told me he was 98% it was a done deal and did the paperwork Saturday and was to come with cash today. Apparently he hit a hitch and needed a co-signer and I'm stuck with a bike till it sells, which means I can't afford to get back into Camaro's.

LOW END TORGUE IS UNBELIEVABLE! I THINK HORSEPOWER WAS A LITTLE OVER 200 AT WHEELS. 500 FT POUNDS OF TORQUE.

does that seem like to b.s. to anyone else?

Re: 1992 HERITAGE camaro z28 350ci very nice!!

I JUST FOUND THE DYNO SHEET IT WAS FROM MIDWEST PERFORMANCE.
MAX POWER 197.8 @84.0 MPH
MAX TORQUE 504.0 @60.0 MPH
CAM WAS PART# 08-302-8
GRIND # CS 264H-R12

I KEPT THIS INFORMATION BECAUSE I COULD NOT BELIEVE FIGURES EITHER!
SINCE I SOLD THE CAMARO I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WAS DE-TUNED OR IF OTHER WORK WAS DONE. WHEN I OWNED IT WAS NEVER FAST MAYBE 120 TOP SPEED. FROM 20 MPH TO 65MPH IT WOULD MOVE!
AS FOR DYNO FIGURES IT COULD HAVE HAD MORE TORQUE FROM FACTORY.I HAVE OWNED FOUR 1992 Z28s. ALL 350 TPI. INCLUDING A 1LE THAT I HAVE NOW.SOME HAD SAME OPTIONS BUT ONE WOULD RUN MUCH STRONGER THAN ANOTHER.
ALSO THE DYNO SHOP IS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS. THERE FIGURES COULD HAVE BEEN OFF A LITTLE TO. WE DID DO TWO PULLS AND FIRST ONE DID GET AROUND 460 FT POUNDS.
HOPE THIS INFO HELPS AND I AM NOT TRYING TO PULL ANYONES LEG BUT I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE FIGURES THAT IS WHY I PHOTO COPIED CAM SPECS & DYNO SHEET. HOPE YOUR CAMARO FINDS A NEW HOME.
GOOD LUCK!

Usually the dyno sheet would say this much torque at this RPM not MPH. If the car made 500 LBs of torque or close to that, the HP would be around that range as well.

IT WAS DONE ON A MUSTANG DYNAMOMETER. IT MEASURED BY SPEED(MPH) HORSEPOWER STAYED FLAT UP TO 100 MPH. ANYWAY THEY WERE A NEW BUSINESS THAT DID NOT STAY OPEN LONG. MAYBE THEY WERE NOT PROPERLY TRAINED. YOU STILL HAVE ONE GREAT CAMARO!

Man you can say that again. That 350 is NOT making 500 ft. lbs of torque. In order for it to make that little horsepower and that much torque, the cam would have to be smaller than any factory cam ever. Those numbers do NOT match the engine whatsoever. Not to mention the 504@ 60mph part. Dyno's read in measurements in RPM NOT mph. A factory 700R4 and factory TPI will not support any where near 500 ft lbs.

Hmmm I'm wondering if these two accounts are the same? All caps? Are you serious? Sounds like a fanboy jumping in and talking up the car while the other account plays it off like they didn't know anything about it. As to maybe get someone to bite on the car. I dunno maybe I'm just crazy but the caps posts are rediculous and uncalled for. They also sound like they are an attempt to hype up the sale.
