Wrecked 92 Z SOLD!!!

I just wanted to test the waters and see if anyone on here is interested. I'm posting all this from memory as I am away at school right now.

The car was wrecked in August of 07. It was totaled, flipped over into a ditch, and since has sat on a trailer under a shed. The only reason I'm posting is because I don't really know what else to do with it. I hung onto it for a while thinking I might get another third gen, but I think I've decided against it. I loved the car, but Think I want something different.

The motor and tranny are still good, as far as I know. It has a 305 and 700R4. It is a high miles car at 224,XXX, though the motor never used alot of oil.

The exterior is pretty banged up, though the high rise spoiler is still in good shape. I think 3 of the rims are still good. All four of the tires may still be good. The one on the bad rim deflated but I don't know if it was punctured or not. Not sure how much tread but they were fairly new.

The interior is still in good shape. The driver's seat is worn out, but the others are in good shape. Basically new dashpad, no blemishes. New console cover. Airbag didn't deploy.

I can't remember everything right now, but if anyone is interested, I'll be home this weekend and can get some pictures up. I might also consider selling parts seperately.

Re: Wrecked 92 Z

Located about 20 miles south of Lexington, TN. I'm in the sticks.

As for as price, for the whole car, just make me an offer. The car was wrecked, but there are many parts on this car that are still good and that are fairly difficult to find. I've been told that the motor in this car is a fairly sought-after item, and it sill had plenty of power. I know that dash pads in the condition that this one is in go for around $200. I haven't priced a spoiler but I imagine they're fairly pretty high as well. I know for sure that three of the tires are still good. They probably have around 50-60% tread. Three of the rims are also good, and the paint on them is about 2 years old. The power train is good with the exception of the rear end. It was making alot of noise for a while, and I expected it wouldn't be long before it went out. The interior was in very good shape for a car of it's age, and I always got compliments on it. Just let me know what you think a fair price would be and we'll talk. After all, something is really only worth as much as someone is willing to give for it, right?

If anyone is interested in individual parts, then let me know, and we can talk price.

I will definitely get some pics up this weekend, probably on Saturday, and the you will have more information.

I can also deliver the car if the buyer is willing to pay mileage.

If you want you can give me a call on my cell at 731-614-3554.

Thanks alot.

Re: Wrecked 92 Z

Well it is totalled, which obviously doesn't mean much since the value of the car isn't that high, but I can't really say for sure. I'm sure the car could be fixed if one wanted to do so bad enough, but I feel like it wouldn't be worth the effort. I think the frame is probably okay, I was selling the car as pretty much what I was planning to use it for. And that's a parts car. I will get some pictures up this weekend and you guys can judge for yourself, and if you guys decide you want it to fix it up, then that's up to you. Thanks.

I tried to take alot of pics, but if there is anything else you would like to see I'll try to get some more. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I forgot to mention that the driver's side door had to be removed to get me out of the car.

More in next post.

Re: Wrecked 92 Z

The car did have more miles than I remembered.

Some other things worth mentioning are that the radiator is about two years old. The alternator is prbably 4 years old. The starter is also about a year old.

Re: Wrecked 92 Z

Well, first of all, I'm not sure exactly how much damage you were expecting from the car, but I clearly stated that it had been totaled and that it was flipped into a ditch so the damage is definitely indicative of that.

Second of all, no, no one was really hurt in the wreck, and I appreciate your concern. I was driving and got into some gravel in a curve and the rest is history. I walked out of the hospital that afternoon with a sore neck and back, but nothing serious.

And last, I did some thinking, and I decided that parting the car out is just not something I have the time for right now. I'm only home about every other weekend from school so right now I'm just gonna have to sell it as is in one piece. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Geoff, I think you left me a voicemail earlier, and I thought it would be easier just to reply on here to everyone.

Thanks guys. Sorry if I disappointed anyone.

Re: Wrecked 92 Z

Sorry guys, I'm not parting the car out right now. Period.

Price is 800 firm.

Due to a recent change in circumstances I can no longer deliver the car. I'm sorry, but it's out of my hands.

I also have a serious buyer lined up right now who will be traveling a long distance to pick the car up. So unless something changes, the car is basically sold. It's just a matter of when he can make time to come and get it.

Nothing is final though so if something changes I will post here. Thanks.

I hope that guy doesn't think about actually fixing it, that car is beyond a safe repair.

Congrats on the sale.

@ssean92

Thanks, but what's so funny?

@C-Titan

Brought more than a few to mine as well. She was my first car.

@fly89gta

From what I understand he bought a 92 roller, and he was looking for something like this to fix it up.
