Orginal IMSA Firehawk 1LE Camaro that has been used as a track days car for most of it's life. 305/5spd. Original documentation, window sticker etc.
Adult owned all it's life, I have owned the car the past 10 years. Comes with spares and some original interior parts. Shows 170k on the odometer, but has had three "freshen ups" on the engine(still original motor all balanced/blueprinted - have documentation) and one T5 rebuild(original trans).
Highlights of some modifications.
Canton road race oil pan, SLP tri-y headers and full exhaust, Koni DA's and aftermarket springs 800# front 175 rear. Bolt in cage, Extra GTA Wheels Hoosier track tires, centerforce clutch, rod-end LCA and Panhard, global west control arm bushings, short shift, brake ducts, Lightweight hood,(have original hood minus blisters) etc. Have detailed pics if interested.
Lowlights:
Dent in passenger door, little rubbing in one event.
Just no longer have time to take it to the track with two teenagers getting into racing, time to become the crew chief and not the driver.
Since I'm going to be out that way next week Can it pass for any type of street car, or better yet would it make a 20 hr ride back to chicago?? I know it sounds crazy but I'd love to scare the hell out of my wife with a "present" from my work trip
The asking price is $5,000. Thanks for the reply. Is a good entry level driving school car. I just throw the race tires in the car and drive to the track. Has been great fun for the past 10 years.
----------
I will be in town Mon - Wed next week. Work for Grand-Am Rolex Series and heading to Homestead for the race.

The car can be driven on the street. Keep in mind is has solid control arms and 800+# springs. So if your kidneys are up to it!

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
that's no worse than the drag cars we've been running up here for years......I'll let you know as it gets closer. I do know I'm flying in on the 25th and out on the 2nd and staying in Fayetteville
the other thing I was wondering is if you happen to have the rest of the interior parts, if not it's not a big deal just curious. Atleast a passenger seat would be nice since I may have a co-pilot for the trip back if everything works out.

Car is located outside of Raleigh NC
Could you explain "IMSA Firehawk 1LE Camaro"
Its not a "firehawk" version of the Camaro from everything presented. Its not an IMSA car either. Do you mean its a Players Challenge Camaro car?
The car ran in the IMSA Firehawk Series when originally purchased. I have the log book and original race photos of the car. The modifications obviously were done after the car no longer competed in the series. If you would like to see the original pictures and log book let me know your e-mail address.
