86' Z-28 Camaro "Hugger Orange" SOLD

1986 Chevy Camaro Z-28 T-Top, original 305 w/Edelbrock 600, Accel Dist., new aluminum radiator w/electric fan (runs 160* hwy & 180* in town). Rebuilt 700R4 auto w/B&M Mega shifter. New springs, ball joints, drag link, idler arm, tie rod ends, and chrome 16” wheels wrapped w/new BFG KDW’s. Performance exhaust w/cat eliminated. Interior is new w/leather 6 way power seats, headliner, Dash pad, T-top bag, Monsoon sound system w/6 disk CD changer, and over head console. Weather stripping is all new (T-Top, Doors, and Hatch). Paint is Hugger Orange w/Black SS stripes, older paint job but is smooth & shines very well. There is no rust on this car any where, it does have a few small dings, and a couple scrapes, but you don’t notice unless you are looking for them. This Z is a head turner, and the only thing left that hasn’t been rebuilt is the motor. It still runs very strong, and will get rubber in 2nd gear. This is an Adult owned car, and maybe gets out of the garage only 6 or 7 times in the summer months. This has been my project for the quite a few years, but I have a son starting college in the fall, and that takes priority. I am letting this Z go for about half of what I have in it. This can be yours for $3800.00 OBO; I also have the factory rear window louvers that go with it. I have plenty of pictures, or come and see it for your self. I am located in Blue Springs, Nebraska, and My phone is 402-806-2194. $3800.00 OBO;

Re: 86' Z-28 Camaro "Hugger Orange"

i wish I was closer... but St. Louis is a little far from blue springs... if that sale doesn't go through I will try to talk my dad into going down there

This is exactly what I am looking for too...and it even has new gaskets all around so I assume it does not leak at all?

Also how many miles are on the body and the engine?

How many on the rebuilt tranny? Does it shift perfectly?

Any leaks from the engine/tranny?

Has the rear end been rebuilt?

How is the Ac and heat?

Do all of the vents come out evenly and blow alot of air?

Does it need anything at all that you would personally fix?

sorry i am asking so many questions, but this car looks awesome in my book

Re: 86' Z-28 Camaro "Hugger Orange"

Car is being pulled off of the market, as my son does not want me to sell it. So I worked out a deal with him that if he paid the monthly storage bill ($60) I would transfer the title over to him. Thanks for all the compliments, and to some of the great prospects that I have spoken with over the phone. Sorry guys but family is first.

Thanks, Steve

Re: 86' Z-28 Camaro "Hugger Orange"

Boy, it is certainly a great privilege to find out you've been screwed over on a forum. You couldn't have called me and spoke about this, I had already wired you the deposit and we had made the deal. And after the fact of all this, you won't even answer my calls or emails.
Thanks for giving me the shaft.

Re: 86' Z-28 Camaro "Hugger Orange"

Maybe you should check your PayPal account. I did not screw you over, and explain to me how you are getting the shaft? If you would of checked I also had a message in there explaining the situation. I work at night so I could not call you in the middle of the night. Check the times out when I gave you your deposit back, and posted on this board. Last but not least you obviously have no kids, because if you did we wouldn't even be having this conversation, and my son takes presidence over even someone as important as you. You will be getting a phone just as I had planned to do.

Re: 86' Z-28 Camaro "Hugger Orange"

I totally understand that family comes first, BUT you made a deal with me first. You had what you asked for in advance, until we met this weekend. Perhaps you should have made your mind up before selling the vehicle to me. The damage is done....... I'll just chalk this one up as a $6.18 mistake from the transfer fee's.
Good day sir, don't even bother with the call.

Re: 86' Z-28 Camaro "Hugger Orange"

well back in the day a deal was a deal, you could get a house build the this contract. {HAND SHAKE} "Mr. _______ , I'll build you a good house" and that was it, it ment something but times have changed

im not taking sides here, you did get your deposit back, but i can see how getting your hopes up and then being shot down can stink, but im also sure JetSet didnt TRY to get on here to hurt someone

dont let this keep you away, im sure you can find a great car on here

Re: 86' Z-28 Camaro "Hugger Orange"

I was indeed a little upset this morning, because I'd sold my 4 wheeler to someone for about a grand less than what I was asking just so I could come up with the cash to make this happen. But life will go on.
*I'm a red head..... which means..... bad temper * sorry if I came out of the gate grumpy.
I definately won't let this keep me down.

Re: 86' Z-28 Camaro "Hugger Orange"

Shane,

I would of probably acted in the same way as you did but I would of eventually understood, which I hope you have. I did not mean for this to happen, but did not realize that my car meant so much to my son. I really do hope you accept my apology because I do mean it. I also apologize to anyone else on this board who was interested in my car. I hope you find want you want Shane, and again I am sorry.

Steve
