This has been my daily transportation for the last three years. It averages in town 16-17 mpg. Uses a quart of oil in about 1000 miles. Car has 157, 000. Engine about 135,000. It's a 305 with an edelbrock performer manifold, edelbrock 1406 carb and air cleaner. 700r4 trans has approximately 40,000 miles on it. It's a GM Goodwrench rebuild. Has shorty headers dumping into a 3" exhaust pipe back to the muffler and dual 2 1/2" tail pipes. 2:73 posi and 16" 87 Iroc rims with excellent rubber. Body has bumps and bruises and surface rust.
I need to sell this in the next week . I figure the trans is worth $250, carb & intake & air cleaner another $150, tires and rims $250, and the 140 speedo $50, headers $50, and the rolling chasis $200 for scrap. Has a fuel pressure regulator and gage anther $35. I just spent $85.00 for a rebuilt distributor with a 50,000 volt coil and adjustable vacuum advance.
