The car has a aftermarket stereo installed with JL Audio subs and JL Audio component speakers. Super clean car and 100% rust free. Top is in good shape, might need one in the next few years. The window is good as well. Looking to get 12K or trade. Prefer trade. What do you have, I am open to all trades.

I live in Indianapolis and would love to have the car but I couldn't do mine for an even trade. If your car had really low miles on it, I would really consider it, that's for sure!!! I just posted in the Camaro section here that I am wanting to trade my car for pretty much any F-Body!! Good luck!
I was feeling the same about it but it IS a nice car for its age. Because of the price is exactly why I wouldn't be able to do it for an even trade. I'm thinking if the engine was rebuilt or if it were restored it would be worth it. Without detailed pics I was thinking maybe $7k-$8k. Never-the-less I wouldn't mind having it!!!!
The 305 is gone and the 2.73 is gone. This is what has been done to the car now:
355 4-Bolt block (high volume oil pump 60PSI at idle)with LT-1 short skirt pistons, custom ground cam on a 112 lsa and custom chip that is perfect (no eyes burning at idle), cam has a nice lope but does not affect the brakes, has good vacume at idle. I have a build sheet on the engine. Ceramic coated shorty headers, ceramic coated y-pipe (ball type), 3" high flow cat (magnaflow), 3" flowmaster catback exhaust with stainless tips. 52MM BBK throttlebody, 24lb accel injectors, all new MSD electronics with custom wires, and a new TCI converter mached to the cam. Also installed an aluminum driveshaft.
Now for the suspension, new shocks and struts, new bushings front to rear to include the control arms on the front, new bearings with seals, new ball joints, new tie rod ends, centerlink, and idler arm (the car was aligned on a laser machine). 1" hotchkis springs were installed front and rear with new lakewood control arms for the rear and edelbrock panhard bar. The rear was upgraded to 12" disk brakes with all new components and e-brake cables and a 3.23 gearpack was installed with the matching trans gear for the speedo. The trans was fresh so new seals and a filter kit was all that it got.
The drivetrain and suspension is new. The car is still in the shop as the weather in Chicago is not pretty.
Willing to trade for a daily driver SUV. Tahoe, expedition, suburban or something of this sort. Times have changed and so have jobs, now I have to give up the toy and get something that can get me to and from work.

This is my dream car, I am hoping to get a job soon so I can start saving up, and have my fingers crossed that I will come across one later on, no offense, but hopefully more affordable than 12k just because that's enough for a solid down payment on the new camaro that came out, granted i love the third gen with all my heart, but I feel the new one is the collector's item of my generation, and wouldn't pass it up.
Ok, everyone seems to have serious heartburn with my price???? What would you value the car at? I am open to what you think? (Will not change my mind, but I would like to know).

Not to be offensive ........ KBB says in excellent condition as stock price between 3-4000..... that being said add 3-4000 for upgrades and you should be in the ballpark. Just an opinion!
Well the one that I was after, which was recently bought was at a dealership, and they had it in incredible condition, NOTHING needed work, and the mileage on the car was barely over 50,000. They tried getting 13,000 for it. I have been tracking the car for well over a year, it stayed at the price. they dropped the price to 10,000 back in december, no buyers. They dropped the price to 9,000 and after a year and a half of me keeping track of this car, and if was in great condition, and shined, cleaned and nothing needing work, someone finally bought it. if you are willing to wait that long then I guess you can stay at your price. I have been searching for a iroc-z convertible 1990 for years now, it's my dream car, and part of my life mission at the moment to own one someday and never let it go, but until it hit's the collector car status, you are not likely to get near 12,000 for it. no offense but it is damn near exploitation, especially when I have found one in just as if not better shape, and more then half of the mileage for 7,950. Like I said I track these down on a daily basis. If i had the money I would have one already, and even if it wasn't running, for the extra left over from the 12k, i could get it running.
Try cutting that mileage total in half and you got your $12,000. Ya, it will be worth that much in the future, but right now your vert is worth $6-8,000. I looked at a nice vert last year with 90,000. Perfect body, new paint, ran great, needed some interior work for $5,500, but it sold before I got it. In my opinion way overpriced especially in this economy.
Ok guys, thanks for all of the responses. It just rolled out of my garage for 12K Cash! I guess it was worth the wait. The economy does suck, but it just got better at my house.
