I have a 1989 IROC coup with the 5.7 in it. Cherry red in color. All stock from front to back with the exception of the exhaust. Right now it sits without the muffler and tips. The old muffler rusted and the started to drive me nuts with the way it rattled. So I cut it off and have not decided what to do for a replacement. Car is in over all great shape and all original, only 65,000 orig miles. I just completed a complete tune up front to back including wires, plugs, cap/button, radiator flush and replaced the thermostat (190). It still needs fresh brake pads and possibly new rotors. I was going to have them turned if I kept it to see if I could get more miles out of them.
Here are the issues I am dealing with. The paint is just starting to show a little white oxidation and getting a little dull. Stock rims are peeling. I am chasing a overheating ghost but I think I have it cornered. The last piece I have to replace is the fan switch on the pass side of the motor to tell the fan to kick on. If you turn the AC on the engine runs at the right temp. So I think that is the final step to get it working correctly. Minor crack on the middle vent housing on the dash, and the pass side window switch works but is missing the trim piece, and head liner is starting to sag. AND the final thing is the rear hatch motor mount broke and I have not replaced it.
I have not taken pics as of yet since I dont know if anyone is interested. I am thinking around $3500 obo. I have the orig manual, warranty card, and service schedule. I will through in my Haynes manual that has seen better days.
The reason for all the tune up and wear is because my uncle had this car and let it sit for the last two years outside. Not because of abusive driving. He has since past and I got the car. My interest is really in getting a Harley before spring so I must part with something.
Please send me a private msg with question. If you want photos or want to meet let me no and I will email them to you.
I live just south of Columbus Ohio if you want to meet the car.

btw it does have factory performance rear end, four wheel disc brakes, and factory dual cat setup. I have the orig stereo, the clock works but I get no sound. I have a stereo out of a buick in it right now. It fits fin just doesnt match. It is shinny black and chrome knobs.

Trust me when I say it will be hard to let her go. Not only is she a nice car but it was my uncles car that he custumed ordered from GM new. I'm not in a hurry to move her seeing that riding season is almost over. I may talk myself out of it before anyone makes a offer.
Yea at 3am things get fuzzy. I work nights and I see some weird stuff around 3. Take it easy all.

Since you're not in any hurry, tuck it away for the winter and see how you feel later. When you're working late at night, conduct a health and safety check to make sure the line is still blue
Another bump. Just pulled her out after a few months of sitting in the garage. Started right up. Still up for sale or trade for a motorcycle. I dont want to go down any further but what the heck. $3500 She needs a good home. Make an offer...
Please no tire kickers. To many people showing up with no money or real intentions to buy. Hope everyone is doing good. Here are the long awaited pics of the inside. Just taken a day ago. Send me a email dk1ben@gmail.com
