1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z, 5.7L V8 w/ Tuned Port fuel injection, 700r4 trans, Red with charcoal interior, 16 inch aluminum wheels, Zulda P245/50ZR high performance tires. PS, PB, PL, PW. Has a new radiator, alternator, water pump, battery, and heater core. Have installed shorty headers w/ custom dual exhaust (side pipes and Flowmaster mufflers), Edelbrock Hi-Flo intake runners, K&N air filters, Taylor spark plug wires, TPIS throttle body airfoil, MSD blaster ignition coil, Chevy valve covers, Hypertech Thermomaster computer chip, 160 degree Hypertech thermostat. Have also installed new MAP sensor, throttle positioning sensor. Motor and trans are from a 1992 Z28. Trans has been rebuilt, and shift kit installed, but engine needs work. Oil changed every 3 months since I've owned the car. Needs some work and/or WOULD BE A GREAT PROJECT CAR! $3500.
the engine has alot of miles on it (220,000+ when I bought the engine a year ago) so it definately needs a rebuild. It has a vacuum leak where one of bolts is stripped where the intake runner bolts to the manifold(just put them on a couple months ago and edelbrock wouldn't send me another set of bolts).
Can't see any of the pictures in the ad. Could you email them to ZMonte85@yahoo.com? I'm located in NC and interested in the car. How well does it drive right now? How many miles are on the car?
emailed the pix for you. I drive it once a week or so and don't have any problems. It is running rich on the passenger side, but I can't figure out why. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the hypertech chip I installed a few months ago along with the hi-flo intake runners, but I'm not an expert by any means. the engine has roughly 250,000 miles (i know its alot), and the body has around 170k.
