I have a 1989 Camaro RS 2.8 V6 with T-Tops. I would hate to get rid of it, but I have a new project. I just got a 1969 Chevelle that needs a full frame off restoration and it is going to eat up most of my time and money. The car was my dads then he sold it to me. He was the second owner I was the third. The car has been in a garage in South Carolina for the last 8 years so there is no rust. The last time I drove it was 1999 when the ignition went out(needs new keys) it has the original engine, transmission, rear end, and rims. The car was in a accident and has some damage to the front passengers side behind the front bumper. It is also missing the hood and a little piece of the groundFX on the driver side after the rear wheel, and has a cracked windshield. I was doing a 4th gen interior swap so it has the dash and seats and radio. I was almost done with the dash, it needs to be wired up. The motor needs to be rebuilt. The car has about 124000 on it and has sat since 1999 with a half of a tank of gas. I would like to sell it for $750 lots of great parts on it still. great for parts, rebuild or a race car any questions let me know. I can take more pictures if needed.
I am looking for a 6 cyl third gen, for my sis's first car
and wanted to know if you put stabil in it while it was sitting,
and how easily it starts up.
or any other info on the running condition of the car
because i had a 91 that sat for a while and ended up having to replace the gastank, fuel pump, and complete fuelinjection system.
No Stabil. Will not start or run. It has sat for so long with gas in it that you would have to replace the whole fuel system. Gas tank, fuel pump, filter, lines, and injectors. The motor and trans would more than likely have to be rebuilt just because it has sat for so long. I have the keys but the little vats that is in the key has fallen out I have a spare somewhere. Thanks for the question.
