I am trying to gauge interest on my car. I think I'm ready to move on to something else. I have spent a lot of time and money on this car. My original plan was to eventually drop in a LS1 V8 so I pretty much built the car to eventually have a V8 in it. I'm pretty confident in saying I have OCD, so everything done on this car was done to be as safe, reliable, and professional looking as possible.
The vehicle is a 1991 Chevrolet Camaro RS with 134,xxx miles on it.
Drivetrain/Suspension:
Original 3.1L V6 and THM700R4 transmission. I have always used Mobil oil in the engine with Mobil 1 filters, but I switched it to Mobil 1 two oil changes ago and it currently has a Wix filter on it. I had an oil analysis done at the last oil change, and they said the engine was wearing pretty well, but that he intake gaskets may be leaking a small amount of coolant. I recently serviced the transmission and replaced the filter. I did NOT flush the transmisson because of the age/mileage/unknown service history.
WORKING A/C with a brand new compressor converted to R134A.
Rag-Joint Eliminator Kit
New Remanufactured AC/Delco Steering Gear
KYB GR-2 Struts and Gas-A-Just Shocks
V6 1" Drop Springs (I can't remember the brand, but the springs are grey in color).
36MM hollow front sway bar and 23mm rear sway bar (both painted red) w/ polyurethane end links.
UMI Tubular Control Arms - Red
Hotparts Tubular Rear Control Arms - Red
UMI Sub Frame Connectors - WELDED IN - Red
Polyurethane torque arm bushing.
3.73 Gov-Loc G80 rear differential with Delco Moraine Disk Brakes - Painted black. The hoses and calipers were replaced when the rear end was installed.
Corvette C5 12" rotor front disk brake upgrade with stainless steel lines from The Big Brake Upgrade.
4 Wheel Disc Brake Prop Valve (brand new GM part).
The only parts of the steering that haven't been replaced are the center link, tie rods, and strut mounts.
Exterior:
The car has been repainted since I bought it in the factory Bright Red. It isn't perfect, but it looks good when you step back.
I replaced the lexan t-tops with glass t-tops. I also replaced the t-tops weatherstripping with BRAND NEW GM parts and they do not leak.
The windows are tinted 20% all around with Lumar tint.
17" American Racing Rebel Wheels wrapped with BFG G-Force Sport 275/40/17 tires. The wheels are in good shape, but both passenger side wheels have some small scuffs on the lips from a curb (there are NOT chunks missing or bent wheels, just some scuffs).
"Euro" H4 Headlights with 8000K HIDs in the low beams. It also has the APC harness to run he headlights straight off the battery instead of through the headlight switch.
"Euro" Parking Light Housings.
Clear side marker lenses.
Z28 Grille and factory fog lights also with 8000K HIDs to match the headlights.
LED 3rd brake lights with factory lens.
Tails were tinted and cleared but the paint has started to have cracks under the clear (no peeling though).
Adonized black laser etched RS emblems.
Interior:
145mph Cluster from a Z28.
Brand new carpet and floor mats from JIM85IROC.
Factory 3rd Gen leather door panels.
4th Gen Trans Am seats w/ power driver seat and lumbar.
4th Gen seat belts.
Grant leather steering wheel.
Leather shifter knob and e-brake handle.
Retrofitted power locks, windows, and mirrors with all factory components (no cheap aftermarket Car Stereos Plus parts).
Keyless Entry (basically a Code-Alarm alarm with nothing but keyless entry hooked up, also hooked up to lights, horn, and trunk pop).
LED lighting with courtesy lights.
Pioneer headunit with XM radio.
Pioneer Speakers.
Pioneer channel amp powering the rear speakers and sub woofer.
I've probably forgotten a few small things, but that's the gist of everything. The car is in excellent shape overall, but it isn't perfect because it is a 1991. The power steering pump has a very small leak (it's been that way since before I bought the car and I've never had to fill it up, there's just some residue). The pinion seal leaks a little too like all of these cars. I replaced the rear main seal with the new updated design, but it may still be leaking. I haven't gotten the car back up in the air yet to see what's going on. The tires have some flat spots in them from locking up the brakes, but I spent 2 hours indexing the tires and it rides pretty dang smooth at highway speeds. This car is pretty much ready for a V8 swap.
As I said, I really don't know what the car is truely worth because of everything I've done to it. Make me an offer and if the price is right...
Here are some pictures, these pictures are not all current as the car sits right now, but it's all I've got handy:
Love this car...when you decide if you really want to sell pm me. Great looking car. I'm located in TX but...its real nice.
I'm going to sell it. I want a newer car. If you're really serious, send me a message.

It is my first car and that's why my plan was to put an LS1 into it. But now I'm just sick of spending money on the car and I realize that the money I would spend putting an LS1 in this car could go a long way towards a much newer car. I've been tossing around this idea for a while now, I just kept saying no to it because I'm so attached to this car.
I have to agree the V-6 looks out of place in that car. But other than that, you have a really awesome car man. If I had as much work into that car as you did there is no way I would sell it, it's so close to being finished off. I understand though, good luck with the sell and props on a very nice car.

I'm asking $4000 for it. Just because I was curious, last night I added up all the reciepts I had in a folder and including the cost of the car I've got about $10k in it. I'd like to sell the car quickly, because I can't buy the replacement without a down payment and I don't want the replacement to get sold out from under me.
