If you are looking for an exceptionally clean, low mile, and well-built hot rod 3rd gen Camaro, then look no further. This beautiful 1987 Camaro IROC-Z has just 35,000 original miles on it's body and chassis but sports a stout street/strip drivetrain featuring a 427ci big block Chevy. As a testament to it's reliability, this car completed the 2006 Hot Rod Power Tour 'long-haul', travelling over 1,700 miles from Orlando, FL to Englishtown, NJ through grueling traffic with absolutely no issues. Some of the car's features include:
- Arrow-straight 35,000 original-mile body with gorgeous 'Flame Red' metallic paint (original color)
- Immaculate original interior with leather seating surfaces
- 427 cubic inch big block Chevy with GM oval port heads (063 casting)
- Holley 750 double-pumper and Edelbock Torker II intake (fits under stock hood!)
- Holley Blue fuel pump, Mallory adjustable regulator, and Aeroquip -8 fuel lines and fittings (from pickup to carb)
- Hooker Super Competition headers with 1 7/8" primaries
- Mufflex 4" exhaust with Flowmaster race muffler
- Custom 3" y-pipe fabricated by NBS Fabrication
- Northern aluminum radiator (Summit direct-fit radiator) with stock electric fan and twin supplemental pusher fans
- NOS 'Top Shot' Nitrous System with a completely hidden installation
- Turbo 350 transmission with full manual valve body and B&M ratchet shifter
- 3.73 rear end gears with Positraction
- 15x8 Weld wheels with 275-60-15 Nitto 555R drag radials
- 15x3.5 Weld wheels with Mickey Thompson Sportsman SR radials in front
- Includes a top-of-the-line cover from California Car Covers
This car looks, sounds, and runs like a stout street/strip Camaro should and is an absolute steal. $10,900 obo. The car is located in Tampa, FL.
Thanks for looking and please do not hesitate to PM me with any additional questions.

Bump for a nice ride. Very nicely done. Especially like how it looks completely stock interior wise. Heck a set of IROC wheels and the only clue would be that little 427 emblem. (Well the exhaust might give it away)
I think $11,500.00 sounds a little high but a resonable place to start negotiations considering the quality of the workmanship.

Thanks nascarfan7. This car would make a perfect sleeper with a set of IROC wheels. However, once you fire the motor, you won't be kidding anyone.
Awwwwwww, you took the A/C out. Crap! I would've bought it except for that! Just kidding, sorry! Very nice build. Love the color. Never seen a NOS system installed so cleanly and hidden so well. Interior is spotless. Good Job! Any suspension work?

Yep, this is a windows-down hot rod. : ) The suspension is stock with the exception of cut stock springs in the front and Eibach Sportlines in the rear.
Nice ride, too bad you dropped the clutch for an auto. Do you still have the assembly?
I do not have the original T-5 parts, but the pedal bracket is still the original 5-speed piece and the hole for the clutch master cylinder could still be reused. I thought about converting the auto to a T-56, but it would require custom headers and fab work to clear the bellhousing and crossmember.

It might be tough through a local lender due the age of the car, but I highly recommend http://jjbest.com/ for financing special-interest/collector vehicles.

Did you build the 427? Do you have a thread or anything on how you put it in? I would like to know some info on putting a 427 big block into my IROC, it's a shame I bought mine last year, id've saved for this car!
Man i had a 427 in my 89rs. it ran like a demon on wheels. got rid of her to pay for college my dad was pi!!ed. he spent a lot of time on it. But it looked nothing like urs under the hood......beautiful car man gotta give you a few bumps
Can this car drive on the highway? Does the 3.73 gears make it unbearable or is it okay cruising ~60 mph?
The car is very driveable on the highway. But keep in mind, this is a hot rod with a very loud exhaust and no A/C, so I definitely wouldn't recommend it as a daily driver.
I can not belive this thing is not sold yet.there must be to many nice third gens for you to compete with were you live..if you were local I would purchase.Good Luck

... I'd trade you an '83 Monte Carlo SS that's built(it's listed in 'Wanted' section) plus cash for your car. Haha, I'm limited in what I can do till the Monte is sold.

Thanks! I'm looking to reduce the number of cars I have.
