It is with much regret I offer this car for sale. Unexpected financial situation necessitates the sale of this great car I've only had for a few short months. 117K miles.
This 1LE racing package IROC-Z was one of the very last cars made in late 1989 before GM lost the IROC partnership. The 1LE package deletes A/C, upgrades to aluminum driveshaft, fog lamp delete, baffled gas tank, 3.23 axle, aluminum spare, Corvette front twin-caliper brakes, etc. This car is about as bone stock as you can get for a 20 year old vehicle. Note: it does have the DX3 RPO code which is decal delete. Looks just like it did when it left the factory.
The Good:
Pretty much everything! This car is a looker, with no body work needed. 350ci motor is strong. Absolutely no leaks from anything, and no smoke upon startup. Interior is great as well. No rips, stains, tears or dash cracks. It has been repainted, and looks very good. No obvious blemishes. This paint will last you many more years. No rust!
The Not-As-Good: Fuel gauge needle is stuck - common problem
4-speed auto transmission sometimes hesitates to downshift only when you absolutely floor it. This could be a minor adjustment to fix, or I've been told this is normal(?).
Front air dam has minor curb scrapes. A quick respray of this lip will have this car ready for show.
You will be getting an amazing amount of documentation! Included is the original bill of sale, window sticker, 1990 Camaro GM Service manual (two, actually), service history including recent tune up info, state of Texas emissions test (passed), period-magazines detailing info on the Camaro 1LE and more!
This car does have some SCCA racing wins/history. PM me if you need more details. A very special, rare, unmolested car that needs a good home. I am located near Dallas, TX. Clean title in hand.
