I looked all over for 4 years trying to find a car like this. When I found this one I flew 900 miles across the country and drove it home in one night. It is a very clean and solid body with no rot. When I first bought the car it had 2.77 gears and a 700R4. I installed the T-56 and built the rear axle. At the time the car had 108,000 miles on it, it has about 125-130k on it now. (speedo no longer works due to the t-56 swap). Overall the car is in very nice condition. It has great compression and always fires on the first crank. It runs strong and sounds MEAN. With the T-56 and the 3.73s it has no problem keeping your head glued to the headrest. The interior is very clean minus the usual wear on the drivers seat. The headliner was recovered and its the nice ABS plastic, not the old fiberboard. The dash is in excellent shape and the dashpad is intact except for one crack in near the drivers speaker (can not be seen from inside the car) The car is very solid and I would drive it anywhere but it does have some issues though. The hatch motor needs to be replaced. The lower radiator hose seeps a little and could stand to be replaced. (its not losing massive ammounts of water but I do keep an eye on it and top it off every now and then) The torque arm mount needs to be replaced. I have a new mount that will go with the car. The ball joints are also worn, every once in a while if I hit a pothole just right the steering will vibrate. The A/C and the heat both work, but it only blows out of the defrost vents, the selector switch in the dash is old and dry rotted. The paintjob is a pretty good 10 footer but there are cracks on the passenger side quarter panel and a bubble on the drivers door. Overall Id say the car is a 7 or 8 out of 10. I have put a lot of work into this car and I do not want to sell it but I have to pay for school so I have to make some sacrifices. I cannot begin to tell you how much this car means to me and I hope that the new owner will take as good of care of her as I have. If you have any questions or would like to go for a ride, give me a call at 404-717-5856, my name is PJ.
