1991 Camaro RS, Auto, 180K on the odometer less than 2000 on the motor. Engine is a 305 TBI that has been upgraded for some extra power. The upgrades include:
Rebuilt lower end (new rings, rod and main bearings, etc.)
LT1 camshaft
Crane stamped 1.6 rockers
New Crane valve springs
New timing chain
Melling oil pump
removed smog equipment
Older style GM heads (replaced the low flow swirl port heads, still have originals that can go with the car)
sorry. only have a couple pics right now. I am out of town so I will post what I have in my e-mail.
The car and engine prior to completion are attached.
Hope this helps some. will post more sunday when I am back at home.
other details:
Car is reliable. interior needs some attention. That is why I had kept my old seats and was working on recovering them. There is one interior panel in the back drivers side missing.
The car was a project I was building for my nephew but he did not follow through with the car so now I am letting it go.
I have over $1000 into the engine rebuild and upgrades. It still has its minor issues like the electric fan switch not working properly (I have the air running to keep the fan running), adjusting the TV cable, and seat belts that don't work properly.
I recently replaced the shifter cable, power steering pump and PS pump pressure line. Have a few parts to go with it, also.
Undercarriage has rust at drivers foot-well. one spot going thru but that is it. the rest of the floor is good.
the stock 305 TBI was rated at 170 HP with the smog equipment and the swirl port heads.
with replacing the heads, cam, rockers, minor TBI work, and eliminating the smog pump, I am estimating approx. 235-250 HP at the flywheel and could be a little better with tuning and exhaust work. My numbers are an estimate based off of DynoSim software.
You could probally get a little more too since I didn't do any porting or larger injectors. This was intended for my nephew so I didn't want to give it too much power.
