Hey guys, I'm not gonna lie, i've had a serious thing for C4 corvettes ever since I test drove one when I was 16 . A really nice 6speed LT1 vette popped up for sale near my house and I took it out today and it made me decide that I'd like to try to get a C4 Corvette.
My car: Black/Red Heritage Z28, just cracked 36,000 miles. 305TPI, Auto, Black Custom Cloth Interior Fully inspected. Immaculate Condition. Very mildly modded (Magnaflow catback, hi flow cat, 01 Monsoon Cd Player-although I have the stock Delco cassette too- & a fan switch to run cooler). Very Original, Mint Condition. Personally, its the nicest Black/Red Heritage Ive ever seen in person. Its been entered in the Camaro Nationals for the past three years. The paint is original and is in extraordinarily good condition for 17 year old Van Nuys paint. Just had the chin spoiler/grill/bumper repainted due to hitting a groundhog which chipped off a small portion of the paint there. Those 3 pieces were taken off the car, sandblasted, repainted and cleared and put back on the car at a professional restoration shop (have receipts).
As stated, looking for a C4 Corvette. Preferably a manual (4+3 or ZF6), also prefer any color other than black. Mileage must be on the lower side (absolutely under 50k, the lower the better). Above average condition is a must.
Let me know if you want any more pictures or information on my car. Have nearly every receipt in from the past 4 years that I've owned it and many original things such as window sticker, shop manual, etc.

Any particular year C4 that you're looking for? Sure I'm biased towards third gens but a straight up swap for a under 50K mile LT1 with a 6 speed sounds fair to me. lol.
I have to say that an LT1 would be most desirable, especially since the later C4's have the better (ie: Less digital) dash and the better engine. Depending on the car and the options though, I would probably do any C4 with the exception of an 84!

I'm with you on this. I love C-4's and third gens also!! Have you ever thought about a ZR-1? You can find nice 90's out there now in the upper middle to high teens in the mileage range you are looking for, are far and away better than the LT-1's and nothing sounds like the LT-5 at 7000 RPM! I am on my fifth Z, if you decide to consider that route, PM me and I can point you in the right direction, you wont be disappointed.

Oh yea I'd love a ZR-1 but a) i would be concerned with [even] higher possible maintenance costs with the LT-5 and b) ideally I'm looking to parlay my Z28 into a C4 while paying little or no money extra so obviously if I were to start looking for a ZR-1 I would either have to wait or sell a kidney haha!

The extra maintenance costs on an LT-5 are basically an old wives tale. I noticed that you had a post on corvetteforum. Go to the C-4 ZR-1 forum and those guys will tell you the same thing - that the LT-5 is more or less bulletproof unless you really try to hurt it and most everything else on the car is the same a a normal C-4. I would be more concerned with having to replace the opti-spark on a normal C-4 than a possible repair on the LT-5. But anyway, looks like you have an awesome car and it would be a great find for someone looking to get into a third gen. Good luck!!

Thanks! Whether I end up with a Corvette or just end up keeping my Camaro, its no hardship. I just think that at this point in my life Id rather have a nice (but ordinary) Corvette than my pretty rare Z28 which I pretty much avoid driving in anything but the most perfect weather.
I do not see where you put in an asking price on your Z. Let me know.
BTW..the vette is not mine, I just saw it while perusing cars for sale.
Car looks good, although as I've done more research on C4 Corvettes I've decided to narrow my search further to 90-96 (thus excluding the infamous digital dashes & 4+3 manuals).
