I am unfortunately having to sell these two gems, but I would feel alot better knowing that they were with a fellow enthusiast so here goes. The Z28 is a 305 Tpi owned formerly by some real "smart" lady who thought it was ok to drive it in the winter, again "SMART". It runs but has not been as of yet overhauled or even tuned up for that matter. I had planned to do all this while collecting all the parts needed for the resto on here, (thanks to everyone who contributed). The floors are a definite must to replace with a few other spots in the quarters that need some love. I was planning to do all this when I ran into my current project, I have lots of parts that can go with the Z. It is an 86 so the car is, I would think rare because they didn't put the convertible into production until 87. The bulk of the work has already been done meaning its been gutted and the trim is all off but kept for the rear. I am asking 2600$ OBO.
Next and frankly the worst of the two but still a rare find, is the 88 Iroc 5speed convertible. Being that it is also a midwest car the floors on it are shot as well. It does not run, and the interior was used to restore my latest project. It still has the original motor and trans and the console drivers and passenger seat. Both need resto. I will be using the rear carpet, but not the main. The center console is still in tact, but i will be using the door panels as well. This one will be particularly hard to let go because I currently don't have a 5speed, and I miss having one. I have not collected any additional parts for this one but it is definitely sure to make some enthusiasts happy just having her. If neither one sells I won't be crying the blues if you know what I mean. So with that said I am looking to get 3500 OBO.
My name is Mark and I can be reached at (847 340 8543 or pm and I will try to answer any questions someone might have. The vehicles will also be for sale locally so don't delay in making a decision for too long. And again, THESE ARE PROJECT VEHICLES NEEDING RESTORATION! If I had the room or space to keep them I would, the wife can't take it anymore. WOMEN!!!
Re: 88 convertible 5speed Iroc & 86 vert Z28 for sale
I'm also from Illinois. I am looking for a Camaro convertible to restore, unfortunatly I don't have the time/room yet. If you still have it in the Spring though, I would love to take it off your hands. I really just need a roller, so you could keep any parts you wanted and just lower the price accordingly. I wouldn't need the engine or trans either. Shoot me a pm and I can give you my regular email and other contact info.
Re: 88 convertible 5speed Iroc & 86 vert Z28 for sale
thanks for the interest but i have since decided to take my NUTS back from my wife, and keep the cars. I will update their progress as I go along, I am looking at having my Cali 88 Iroc finished in the spring of 2010, then I will be starting on the totally wicked transformation of my 86 Z28 vert. So stay tuned...
