Im thinking of getting rid of my 92. I really want my lsx car done, and by the time i get it done im thinking about getting a bike since i really wont have time to drive two cars. I rarely drive it as it sits because its too nice to drive.
This car NEVER sees any elements other than the temperature change in the shop. If it looks like its gonna rain, i dont drive it. It gets waxed and detailed more than i drive it, and its obvious when you see the condition of the car
92 z28 25th anniversary z03 package hardtop.
purple haze metallic with silver heritage stripes
5.7 tpi
auto
g92 performance package with 3.27 gears and disc brakes
65k miles
leather power interior, ac, ps,pl etc
bose sound system
with all the options it has to be a rare car, espicially being purple haze was a color on the z28s only in 92.
the car is as flawless as you could expect a 20 year old car to be, the paint is original to my knowledge, and has a couple scratches, and the bumper has the usual chips. No rust whatsoever, underneath or above, one tiny spot is bubbling under the hatch where the rubber plugs are at. Everything works on the car along with the bose sound system, and a/c. No squeaks, lose seals, and the car rides like a new one. It is the closest to a new car ride ive ever had out of a thirdgen. The interior smells like new, and the leather isnt torn, dash pad is flawless along with the rest of the interior. The headliner has been replaced and looks 100% perfect. The only thing that has been done is the blisters were repainted as far as the body goes.
It is pretty much stock drivetrain wise also. A set of edelbrock high flow runners were installed, with a throttle body airfoil. It has accel wires, and an accel coil.
The car is lowered 1.5" with brand new springs. Needs no front end work, no bad parts. The trans was rebuilt due to the car sitting on a lift and not having anything else to do, and was built at rpm transmissions in muncie, with all the goodies, and a yank 2800-3200 converter. Very smooth and at times you cant tell its there, not loose at all, locks up like a dream and is perfectly driveable. It has a aluminum driveshaft. Flowmaster muffler with no cats and a set of turbo t/a dual exhaust tips (rare pieces in themselves)
The car gets every compliment under the sun and there isnt a thing you have to do to it. Get in it, turn the key and drive, and its worthy of shows without a doubt, every time ive been out to hte local shows everyone compliments it. I got the car with intents of putting my lsx stuff in it, and i dont have the heart to do it as its a piece of fbody history and its all there. You will not be dissappointed at all with the car. Also included is the original window sticker with the car.
Asking 10,800 with a set of 17x9 & 17x11 silver zr1s with brand new (less than 200 mile) set of nitto nt555 street tires and the appropriate spacers.
with the factory wheels/tires (could use to be stripped and re-cleared at best) id like 10k for it. Serious inquiries only, no tire kickers. was a 22k dollar car when bought new in 92.
would entertain a trade for a nice bike+ cash, or for a clean 91-92 z28 that is more run of the mill but not rusty at all (prefer a 5speed car) + cash
