The car is a 1991 z28 hard top with a 5.7/700R4 and I bought this car back in the summer of 2004 with about 170,000 miles on the odometer (It now has ~178,000 miles). It was originally from Virginia and is very solid with no rust issues. I am not sure if it is the original engine but it chassis dynoed at 232 hp and 327 ft-lb right before I bought it, with the only modification at that time being the edelbrock headers. Over the last few years and 3000-5000 miles, I have invested a lot of time and money to get it to its current state. 3 years ago after I added the comp pro magnum roller rockers, custom dual cat y-pipe, and banks cat-back exhaust it ran at 97 mph in the quarter. 1 year ago after all of the remaining modifications it ran a best of a little over 101 mph on street tires. However, over the last two years I have been driving this car less and less and I am looking to potentially sell it and I am asking $8500.
Exterior
3 years ago the ground effects, spoiler, etc. were pulled off and the car and it was painted (base/clear) in the factory bright red color. At this time all new factory emblems were installed, the front fog lights were replaced, and the side turn signals were replaced with clear units.
~3000 miles ago new ROH Drift R wheels 18x9 front and 18x10 rear with Sumitomo HTRZ II tires 245-40-18 front and 285-35-18 rear were installed.
Engine-
4 years ago I had 1.52 ratio comp pro magnum roller rockers, a new distributor, and msd cap, rotor, coil, and ignition module installed.
~4000 miles ago General tune up with new wires, spark plugs, etc…
~3000 miles ago I replaced the entire top end with an edelbrock intake, edelbrock runners, and a stock plenum (all of these parts were fully ported and gasket matched to a set of larger mr gasket runner, intake, and throttle body gaskets, prior to installation). At the same time a TPIS adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Accel (current model not yellow) 24lb injectors, and an aftermarket 52 mm throttle body was installed. The factory dual snorkel air box was gutted and K&N filters were installed.
Last year I installed an Ostrich 2.0 with all of the cables (USB and ALDL) needed to monitor the engine.
Transmission and drivetrain
4 years ago an LS1 3” aluminum drive shaft was installed to replace the stock steel unit.
~2000 miles ago I had the transmission rebuilt to the Pro-Built pro street specs with a corvette servo, larger boost valve, transgo shift kit, and beefed up internals. The only difference was the shop used Raybestos Blue plate special clutch packs. I also had them install a new higher rpm stall converter (2000-2100 rpm). The total rebuild and install cost was ~$2100.
It is a drum brake 10 bolt rear with a LSD and 3.23s, I also have a aluminum TA rear girdle that has not been installed.
Exhaust
The car originally came with edelbrock headers and I had a custom dual 2-1/2” hi flow cat y-pipe made and a 3” Banks cat back installed.
Suspension
3 years ago Spohn tubular lower control arms, Spohn adjustable tubular panhard bar, spohn wonder bar, poly swaybar bushings, and Alston tubular subframe connectors were installed. I also have the Spohn lower control arm relocation brackets and install kit which has not been installed yet.
2 years ago Tokico HP 1.25” lowering springs and shocks were installed.
Brakes
The stock drum brakes were fully serviced when I bought the car and the front disks were replaced with modified stock spindles and hubs, Baer calipers, 13” cross drilled and slotted C4 HD rotors, and Earls stainless lines ~3000 miles ago.
Interior
Ebony leather seats out of a 2000 camaro (power driver seat is functional)
The dash pad cracked last winter and I have not been able to replace it
The headliner was replaced 4 years ago. The plastic backing cracked at the front under the rear view mirror; however it is not sagging or falling down.
The stereo was replaced with a Sony unit and kenwood speakers.
Misc.
AC delete pulley
New smog pump this summer

I don't have the VIN on me but I checked everything prior to when I bought it and it was an original 5.7 tpi z28 with the G92 package with disks up front and drums in the rear. As far as I understand this was not that uncommon.
