Car: 92 RS 5-speed Garnet Red Engine: 92 RS Automatic White Transmission: 84 Z28 Automatic Red Axle/Gears: Top to bottom 3.30, 2.70, 3.70 | SOLD 84 z28 red/tan leatherette
I have a red 84 z28 with tan leatherette interior. Car is pretty much all
original as far as I can tell. It shows 111,000 and 145 mph speedo works just fine.The tranny shifts a little hard,but I think it may be cause the
mount needs replaced? Car had been sitting for a year when I bought it.
I have been driving it daily for awhile now and I have found only a couple
minor issues with the car.I have done nothing to this car since I owned it but drive it.
(I have 3 of the 3rd. generation cars and this one seems to be
the straightest,best taken care of in the bunch.
I just need to sell something,and I am keeping my 5-speed.
The 92 automatic may be 4-sale when I get it road worthy.)
The GOOD
Dash is really nice_no cracks....
Seats are really clean_no tears....
Body seems to be very straight,no bondo found....
The BAD
Needs tranny mount(700r4)does fine unless you kick out of hole.
Needs Wiper/turn signal plastic piece replaced....(wipers don't work,lights won't dim)just needs the plastic piece replaced and should be ok.(wipers do work,just un-hooked)
Needs a/c compressor.
Needs passenger window motor?(may just be un-hooked?)
Needs headliner
Needs carpet
Needs painting. Sides are really faded....
I am asking $2000.oo for it and think it's worth every penny.
I have got into the gas just a little in second gear and this car will
put you back in the seat for sure.
