For Sale Is a 1989 (im pretty sure its a 89) Chevy Camaro Rs 2.8L, it has a clean title, it has a few issues I will go through, I would like to get $600, but shoot me a offer,
I may consider trading for a 350 4 bolt main engine (No Fuel Injection, carbureted only)
I put alot of new parts into the car
I had a new strut tower professorially welded in
New starter several months ago $61.00
Pace Setter Header (installed several weeks ago) $278.00
New oil Pan/ gasket $89.99
New Plugs
New Plug Wires
New Cap/Rotor
new wheel bearings last year about $20 a side
new calipers last year $40 a piece (i think)
new rotors last year $50 a piece
new brake shoes last year $20
new suspension bushings last year
comes with a brand new 7" in dash DVD player (cost me like $250)
It has After Market Rims On it, they came with it when I bought it, so I don't know much about them
there's not too much rust on it, a little around the rear wheel wells, but its not bad, its a solid body, it would be good for a V8 Swap, or you could build up the v6 in it
anyways here's the problems
its missing the gas door
the brake proportioning valve isn't working right (fronts lock up before the back) It will stop alright just as long as you don't stop the brakes
the windshield is cracked
the tires are pretty crappy
The Car Backfires a little bit due to the vacuum lines not being connected (I cant figure The crap Out, I got it with messed up/ missing vacuum lines)
The car has no carpeting (except in the Trunk) it did have under body coating applied to the floors, so its not just bare metal
the drivers seat has a rip in it
The dash pad is missing (it was stolen a long time ago, don't ask me why, I don't know) If I get enough money for it I will buy one and throw it in before I sell it
i Riveted in some patches into the floor pans, I intended to weld in new ones, but never got around to it, I did it to stop the rust from spreading anymore
The cars drivable, but I wouldn't drive It more than like 20 miles, because Its backfiring (mainly when idling), I started to fix it up, but I don't have the time to get it going, and I want to get rid of it before winter, $600 may seem a little steep, but theres over $600 into this car, if no one buys it, I will steal parts off it for my other third gen, I would rather see someone buy it and fix it, rather than me send it away on a wrecker
Its got a lot of good parts on it, if someone wanted to part it out, the tranny shifts good, and the Rs Body kit is in halfway decent shape, its got some scuffs, but no major prolems
If this things not gone by next week, i'm going to steal parts off of it, i would also trade for a motorcycle/ 4 wheel if anyone was interested, wouldnt need to be anything fancy, it would just have to run good
