1988 Camaro Iroc-Z 5.7L - $2,200
1988 Camaro Iroc-Z. Has an L98 and freshly rebuilt 700R4. 125,000 Miles on everything except for the engine/transmission.
Intake:
. TPIS Large Tube Runners
. TPIS Big Mouth Base
. TPIS 52 mm throttle body
. Ported plenum
SLP 51002 camshaft
Ported and polished 083 heads
Edelbrock shorties with AIR pipes
Lingenfelter 2300 stall
T-top
Brand new battery (2011)
Clean title
The tranny has 0 miles since the rebuild. There's less than 1000 miles on freshly rebuilt and ported heads and on the camshaft. The rest of the engine has around 90,000 original miles.
The car originally had a 305 TPI in it, but it was swapped to the modified 350 TPI 6 years ago. The tranny went out shortly thereafter and it sat for a few years until I got the money to rebuild the tranny. After putting in the rebuilt transmission early last year, I started it up and noticed it puffing white smoke like it had a blown head gasket. It's been parked again ever since while I tried to get the money to have that officially diagnosed/fixed. I've got too many bills and nothing coming in to pay them, so I've made the difficult decision to sell the car.
The paint itself is medium orange, but it's oxidizing pretty bad on the tops of the doors and on the back of the hatch. Although the car is in cali now, it spent most of its life in NV so it has absolutely no rust problems. The interior is in great shape with the exception of the cracked dash cover.
I've attached a couple of low resolution exterior/engine pictures. I can take some additional pictures for anyone interested.
I'm asking $2,200.00.

If you can send me a few pics of the interior. Do you also have receipts on the tranny/engine, etc...?

so it may have a bad head gasket?
And that is a 115 mph speedo in there. that is original? I thought IROC came with the 145 MPH..

The interior is all original. Only some of the IROC-Z's came with 145mph speedometers.
Although not officially diagnosed, it's acting like another car I've had that had a blown head gasket.
I've attached a few more pics.

My 88 IROC also has a 115 mph speedo. 145mph speedo was an option in 88
