1983 Camaro drag car roller $3250 reduced $2750 again $2000 (SOLD)
For Sale: 1983 Camaro drag car project roller
I am selling the car that started me off on Thirdgen.org back in 2002. Due to deployments, relocations, and just a lack of time, I am going to pull the engine and transmission and sell the roller.
This car is perfect for someone who is looking for a car for the track or a serious street car. I have owned this car for 12 years and it has been indoors ever since I got it. It has absolutely no rust what so ever and the body is very strait. My plans for this car was a 1/4 or 1/8 mile drag car that could be driven to the track. I had this car set up with an 8-71 blown small block chevy and a TH-400.
This car was taken down to a bare shell and the entire underbody/firewall/front subframe have been stripped/primered/painted. The body and rear hatch was painted as well. The suspension and cage work was done during this time. The rear floor still has opening where the cage and suspension pass through that need covered (not extensive). I am active duty military and had to relocate and the car went in storage. I will not be completing this car and am offering it for sale. Car has clear title. All parts new with zero miles.
-Moser Engineering Ford 9 inch rear w/35 spline axles
-Chassis Engineering double adjustable ladder bar rear suspension w/coil overs
-10 point roll cage
-Chassis Engineering subframe connectors
-Weld Racing "Drag Lite" 15x10 rear/15x3 front wheels
-Mickey Thompson ET Street 28x12.5 rear tires
-15 gallon aluminum fuel cell with sender
-S-10 manual steering
(2x3 ladder bar frame rails if buyer chooses to back half someday)
(have Moser built nodular/Detroit locker/4.30/Daytona pinion support center section but I am keeping for another project unless buyer wishes to purchase at my replacement value)
What it does not have
-no wiring
-no fuel lines
-plumbed not flared brake lines (new rubber and hardlines, prop valve, master cylinder)
-no interior except original bucket seats and dash cover
-no hood or nose (planned on fiberglass)
This is a really solid start and I would love for it to go to someone who would finish it right. I have receipts for everything if desired. The hard work is done but needs someone with minor fabrication skills to finish.
I am asking $3250 lowered to $2800 lowered again $2000 (no space for it). Engine and Transmission not included. Title in hand. I am not forced to sell this car for financial reasons but I could use the extra space. If you would like any further details or photos contact me and I will get them to you. I am located in NW Florida in Fort Walton Beach/Destin area.

Re: 1983 Camaro drag car roller $3250 reduced $2750 again $2000
Just sold it today. Yes the rear end went with the car. The removable center section is what I was going to keep. Buyer wanted it too and bought it too though at a additional cost.
I really hoped it would go to someone on this board. I joined this board about a dozen years ago because of this car. Really loved it. I only got pennies on the dollar when I sold it today. I needed the space the car took up more than money right now and let it go pretty cheap.
Thanks
Mike

Congrats on the sale. I saw your ad on racing junk and realized just the center section wasn't being offered for the advertised price. Someone got a good deal.
