trade harley for 1987 iroc z28 5.7 ???
I have a 2008 harley fxstc with 24000 miles and a friend has a 1987 iroc z 5.7 with only 65000 miles and he wants to trade me straight across, do you think I should do it ? car is super clean and runs strong, I am just concerned of it breaking down on me, I carfaxed it and it is actual 65000 miles, its bright red with grey leather interior is super clean also.

Idea-
trade rides for a week and then see if you like or he likes. if he likes it bad enough he may include cash so then you can turn around an buy another bike

Well, the car is 27 years old, and though it may be in great shape, unless it ha had a full restoration, the chances are that you will have to invest some extra cash in it a little bit down the road. (Don't expect five years of perfection)
Don't rely on consumer level pricing guides. It's only worth what someone will pay/trade for it.
Without seeing pictures, and no knowing the RPO codes, I'd assume the value to be around 8k. Maybe, maybe 10k if all original documentation and major service recipts and both sets of keys are included.
And really, forget about the money for a minute, imagine yourself with the car vs. With the bike. Which do you see yourself being happier with?
The values are not so different that anyone is getting screwed on the deal, so if it out that important, and you really want the car, tell him 2k, and the car for the bike.
It is true that the f body is gone. They won't make cars Luke this Any more. As long as the car isn't driven super hard and the miles stay reasonable it will appreciate in value.

I have a Harley Dyna and a '87 IROC. They are both fun to drive, just depends on the day and what's happening. Just make sure you don't ruin a friendship by making a bad trade. You have the bike already, maybe look at getting a third gen down the road later also.
