92 Camaro with SBC 400 with AFR heads and T56 transmission

I Have for sale a 1992 Chevy Camaro RS Project Car located in Waterford, MI:

Tons of pictures here:

Video of engine here:

I have owned this car since 2008, most of the car has been redone but there is still a bit left to do. I have recently bought a house and have gone back to school, so as much as I hate to do it, I really need to let this car go. I have poured a TON of money and time into this car. Below is a basic list of what I have done:

Engine
SBC 400 block 511 casting board 0.030 oversize
Eagle crank and Federal Mogul rebuild kit, 10.25:1 compression (runs on pump gas), this engine is built to make well over 500 HP.
Comp Cams 280H Magnum cam with 0.48 lift 280 degrees of duration with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake.
AFR 195 CC SBC Eliminator Street Heads (AFR-1040), 65cc combustion chamber, these were $1500 heads.
Summit aluminum 1.6 roller rockers. Blueprinted HEI distributor. I have over $5000 just in the engine.
The computer has been removed and all the wiring redone to support the carb motor.
A 3-core radiator and a custom dual fan setup have been installed to cool the motor.
Engine runs great, nothing left to do here except a bit of tuning.

The stock auto transmission is still in the car. The first time I took the car out I gave it a bit too much gas and smoked 3rd gear, this trans was never meant to handle what I was throwing at it. Also, the standard torque converter does not play nice with the aggressive cam in the engine. My next step was to replace the auto trans with a T56 6 speed manual transmission. I have purchased a complete T56 swap and am including it with the sale of the car (see pictures). This is a really nice manual transmission; it has 6 speeds and should have no problems handling the abuse from the 400. Comes with a Centerforce externally balanced flywheel to bolt the trans up to the SBC 400. Also comes with the pedals set that includes the clutch pedal. Also have the shift assembly and boot, and a clutch.

All accessories (power steering pump, water pump, alternator) are new. Carb is a new Holley 4150 Street HP 750 vacuum secondary. Has a new fuel sending unit/pump and a Mallory MAA-4309 fuel regulator. Also has Hedman headers and Y pipe and new exhaust. I have receipts for everything. I also have many spare parts that come with the car (see pictures).

Interior
Interior has been completely redone, including new seats and carpet. Also has all new trim panels including door panels. Comes with aftermarket Alpine Radio with Ipod connection and Pioneer speakers. Car is wired for trunk sub. I have many spare interior pieces and they all come with the car (see pictures). I have receipts for everything, many parts still under warranty. A few of the trim pieces have to go back on (removed for paint) but other than that interior is ready to go.

Exterior
Exterior trim has been removed and all body work has been completed, the car is ready for paint (which I have purchased and comes with the car), upgraded hood (IROC with louvers). I have all the exterior trim pieces along with some spare pieces and all bolts, screws, nuts, etc. They all come with the car. Paint is from Summit Racing and includes everything needed to complete the job (primer, cleaners, fish eye eliminator, Acrylic Urethane Gloss Black).

I think that’s it. This car has been my baby for quite awhile now, but its time to let it go. A TON of work has gone into this car, it just needs a bit more and it will be one crazy fast ride! I have close to 10k into this thing and I don’t expect to get anywhere near that back out. If you’re looking for a fun fast car and you don’t mind getting your hands dirty this may be the car for you!

$5900 OBO
