What should I look for when buying a camaro?

I recently saw a 3rd gen camaro that I would like to buy. What should I expect from a $1500 camaro? What problems would it probably have? It looks like its been sitting a while and I'm not sure if it runs.

Re: What should I look for when buying a camaro?

I just bought mine for 1800 recently, sounds like it's in similar shape to yours. Expect a lot of 'character'. The interior on mine needs a little bit of work (the ceiling fabric is starting to peel off, spedometer cable needs to be lubricated, drivers side arm rest needs to be re glued) but otherwise mine's worked fine so far. It does have leaky headers (big poof of smoke every time I start it) and the battery's on the fritz, but other than having to replace a broken spring in my rear brake drum it seems to be working fine. I'd definitely get it checked out by a mechanic though before you throw down the cash.
