The last one is a close up of an air inlet I painted for a friends 87 IROC(in the pic before). It was my first time painting normal direct, I usually paint lexan RC bodies. Also my first attempt at true fire and also first skull in normal direction, LOL.
Let me know what you guys/girls think.
Thanks for looking

| Re: I'm new, but my 89 IROC isn't, or wasn't! Thanks guys, I appreciate it! I'm thinking about doing some of these for sale soon. Not the same, since that would be lame, but maybe just the true fire, or hot rod style flames too. I'm better at hot rod flames, imo..
The 87 IROC Joe drives is pretty much uber modified, LOL. He has all the "BMR" components, Sub frame, tubular a arms, torque arm, lower rear suspension arms, strut tower brace, etc. His car is a factory 5 speed 305 car, with Bose and all the other bells and whistles available in 87. The engine he has built and runs now is a tweaked 355, with a 290 duration/.550 lift cam, head work, intake, headers, etc. 370 rwhp, so far.
I figure if I build an LS1 motor with 400 rwhp i'll have something over on him at least, LOL!

The air inlet has 5 coats, then was wet sanded and got 4 more. The upper left corner where it is black gives a good idea of the gloss, the rest seems to absorb it into the flames.

The black IROC has "LongBoards" on it. Not sure if they are still made, but they used to be by American Racing wheels about 5-6 years ago.
We'll put up more pics soon! From this weekends trip to Old Town.

I need some interior ideas? Have any of you tried leather in a car that came without it? What about changing colors, is that a no no for most?

Hopefully by weeks end.
I got the IROC stickers and striped on the car, as well as a new pass door glass since the OE glass was really scratched up.
Not sure about tinting teh windows yet?
Any ideas for interior guys?
lmk
Thanks

| Re: I'm new, but my 89 IROC isn't, or wasn't! Ya, kind of along the lines of what i'm thinking. I want leather, as long as it isn't to much more money. I also was thinking about adding some leather into the door panels to match everything up. I don't want to spend over $1000-1200 though. We'll see. One things for sure, which ever way I go pics will soon follow, !
Thanks guys!
I've been cruising the forum for more motivation, alot of nice looking cars in here! Keep it up!
