My 1985 IROC-Z!

This is my Iroc when the paint still looked good. I'm planning on repainting it very soon though. I had to have some of the right rear quarter replaced due to some rust and a rather large hole underneath the ground effect right before the rear bumber. It looks great now and you can't even tell now. Other than the primer that is on it there of course. I love this car and have had it for a little over 5 years now. Here is a basic run down of my car. It was bought brand new in 85 in Ft. Wayne IN. It came from the factory with the tpi 305 but has been replaced with a 355 with the tpi still on it. It has every option available in 85 with the exception of the factory tinted glass. It was originally black but was painted red before I purchased it. I don't ever plan on getting rid of it so I've done some of my own mods. I have installed a 145MPH speedo from my 88 iroc parts car, true duals and a few other small details. I hope you all like it and let me know what you think.003_23.JPG

And a couple of the quarter after the work. I took these pics with my phone so they probably won't look as good as the others. And I know it isn't pretty under the hood but it gets the job done and I've cleaned it up a bit since then.

Re: My 1985 IROC-Z!

Thanks. It's a work in progress but she's my baby. I have some pretty big plans for this car but it will be awhile before it is finished. It will probably never be finished but you know how that goes. I'm gonna get it on the road this one last time and I think I will strip the whole car down to bare bones and do a full resto on the body and chassis. It has some rust on the floor boards and I want alot from the car so it will have to be perfect. I'm thinking about a full aftermarket suspension and putting a cage in it. Along with a twin turbo Tuned Port 406 putting out around 500-600 horse daily driver then turn it up to around 800-1000 horse on the weekends with a turn of a screw on the wastegates. I also want to convert it to E85. I know It's gonna be expensive but when you're doing it for plessure not resale then it's worth it.
