My 1984 Z28 Project

Hey this is my 1984 Z28. I took it to this body shop my dad sends all his work vehicles to. They do excellent work, since my dad is a big time costumer they were hooking my Z up for free. I was always a fan of the stripes that were on the Anniv. edition, so I wanted something similar to it. I know they aren't exactly the same as GM as far as spacing, but I love the way they came out! They hadn't put the clear coat on in the picture yet. I will add before and after photos. I don't know if I should paint the area where the lights are at black, or just keep it white. I kind of like the way it looks with just white. We are going to be selling the current wheels / tires on it and going with a pair of Summit Star Wheels ( not sure what size yet) I would love to hear your opinions. Thanks

-Eric

Thanks! Yeah he is, he is a maintenance manager and all his damaged vehicles go to them, they are a great shop that do good work. I don't know if this sounds right but the guy said it was about a $6,000 paint job. I love the way it looks. I am very pleased.

I'd say thats possible, by the pics I can see they fully guide coated the car which IMO typically means they're doing a good job.

one thing that i dont like is now you have a huge gap between your hood and nose where as you had practically nothing before

I like it That's very clever how the stripes were incorporated into the design of the hood.

Re: My 1984 Z28 Project

Just got it back from paint a few weeks ago I think it looks great, just need to finish up the interior, i need to buy some black door panels. Also I am gonna try to find a 5.7 TPI motor for it. Let me know what you think!
