Car: camaro sportcoupe Engine: high-strung little 305 that could Transmission: th350 Axle/Gears: non-saginaw | little brother's suprise graduation present (start to finish) jack (my little brother) frequents this board, so to keep this a secret, i couldn't post it up on here. but, i figured since you guys like to see progress pics and such, not to mention finished products are a plus, i'd post up since he got the car back today.
as a result, i'm just going to copy and paste:
so my little brother now has andrew's old car. we've been working on it pretty diligently the last few months trying to get the car ready for paint. he really doesn't have the money to get it painted and i started thinking about what i was going to do for him for graduation. it's not gonna be a show stoppin' paint job, but it'll be all one color and i think he'll crap a brick once he gets home from visiting our grandparents for a month and sees it. anyhow, here's progress pics.
my good friend jeremy winters is doing all the work. i'm helping as best i can, but it's turning out to be mostly me just being a "go-fer", lol! |

Car: camaro sportcoupe Engine: high-strung little 305 that could Transmission: th350 Axle/Gears: non-saginaw | Re: little brother's suprise graduation present (start to finish) i just left jeremy's house. our paint booth fell through, so we made one at his house. i'll get some pics up as soon as he sends me some( i forgot my camera again) the booth is actually pretty nice looking considering our situation. this job is done on the CHEAP, but we still are doing the best we can with what we got. basically we just hung some tarps around the side of jeremy's car port, then he put some box fans at each end with old A/C filters on each side. it's lookin' like it's gonna work GREAT. the car is taped up and is getting basecoat tomorrow afternoon and a clear on friday morning. i'm getting the car friday evening and i'm gonna be able to get good pics of it saturday. i'm excited!
in the booth about masked up:

quazi buffed. lookin' very good, i can't believe we painted this in jeremy's carport! i'm about to hop through the shower and go get my little bro from the air port. i think i'm gonna have jeremy go back in and buff the rest of the car, but he got all the little problem areas out.
----------
reaction! he dropped his luggage here, hence me getting on to him in the video to pick it up out of the middle of the parking lot.

(fyi, the 84's looked identical, but were infact, steel) i bought it for my race car, but after using it for a couple of months, i realized that i need to go back to a cowl hood for my own camaro. so the hood was donated to the project as well. |

I don't want to sound uber-queer and say that what you did was "really sweet", but it was. Very thoughtful gift. |
