Car: 1992 Chevy Camaro RS Engine: 305ci TBI Transmission: 700R4 Auto w/ OD Axle/Gears: 2.73 | 1992 Camaro RS - Dark Green-Gray Metallic See the attatched pics....
Its the stock 305 TBI, with the 700R4.
The hood is gonna be replaced by either a 3" Cowl, SS hood, or an IROC hood. The car bra is long gone, just haven't taken pics since then. Some of the GFX need replacing, as they're cracked or warped.... The car will need a repaint, which is going to be the same factory color (the dark green metallic).
*Edit... I am buying the piece for the rear spoiler tommorrow, and replacing the fenders within the next month hopefully*
As for the power plant, I'm contemplating between 3 swaps. Either an LSx swap, a 350 TBI, or LT1. Depends on what I can find for cheaper. Whichever engine I get, its staying automatic, whether it be the 4L60E or 700R4.
The interior is in decent shape, and I plan to use newer 4th gen pieces to make it a little more comfortable.
I'll add to the post as I get stuff done to it, which will be pretty slow as my pockets aren't very deep.....
Please feel free to make suggestions for further improvements/modifications...

As far as the engine swap goes I think we already know which one will be found for the cheapest.. still I say go LS1 if you can afford it! |

The boy that had the car before me put them on there... They're not spaced out evenly.... I think I'm deciding to go with a fiberglass IROC hood.... I would get a cowl hood or an SS hood, but I kinda want to go with the sleeper effect.
I do believe LS1 is the way I'm going... I might take the 5.3L LSx route if I can find one for cheaper.... How hard is it to do the wiring going from TBI to LSx motors? |

Am now in the process of trying to sell the RS. My wife hates the car, and I don't want to ruin our relationship over a car. Ad is in classifieds section.
Thank you all for your input though.

Back to the project at hand:
1- Trying to decide on a stripe scheme... I'm either going Dark green metallic with black heritage stripes, gold heritage stripes, or silver heritage stripes.
2- Trying to decide on a hood... Either the Iroc hood or the 92 Z28 hood (might do a 3" cowl lift-off, but probably out of the price range).
3- Trying to decide on rims/ rim color... I'm kind of debating on powder coating my current rims black with a polished lip or getting later model SS rims.
4- Trying to decide on interior (redo my current interior in all black or get a later model interior swap).
I'd appreciate the input...

Some 4th gen SS wheels would look nice on there, maybe ebay a Z28 grill too. Redo the interior stock and lay the silver strips on. |
