New paint on the 87 Z28!

It's a jet black with a prism mid coat with 4 coats of clear. And all done in two days on a friends front lawn with the dupicolor paint shop system! Not to bad for a $240 paint job. Had a blast doing it too.Enjoy the pics. Enjoy my other pics. and vids. if you got some free time. LMK what yall think!

I like the black on black. I think someone spilled some glitter on your paint though.

Re: New paint on the 87 Z28!

i would have saved the glitter for something other than black. that paint would have been killer just paint balack with some clear.
the glitter makes the paint look flat.

Re: New paint on the 87 Z28!

Thanks guys. To answer some questions. Although it was meant to be a fake hood scoop. It is functional. I was able to notch out a 8"x 10" hole in the 91' RS hood I picked up. Yes it costs $20 a quart. And it looks flat because I have not buffed it up yet.

We all have our preferences. It's multi colored only in sun light. When it's dark it's black only under incandescent it's green and under florescent it's purple. It depends on what light and how much is hitting it. I was going to to straight black but that it be like every other car on the road, and who wants to be uniform?

LOL ummm, well I'd say NASCAR. LOL I don't follow MLB. But if I had to pick, Sux, so you call it, that the very reason I don't get involved with baseball around here, I rather duke it out with a Jeff Gordan fan then a Cubs fan. My G-friend is a cubs fan and I defiantly don't say any PRO-sox stuff around her or she'd kick my rear end!

Re: New paint on the 87 Z28!

I thought about doing that to my rockers but dash emblems are a different size and might not turn out good plus they'd be better off theft to someone who need a dash emblem.

Yeah two different sizes. Easy to steel them but you would find all the back pin clips to be cut off.
