Hey guys, I'm looking for a place to get my windows retinted, anyone got any good places? What is the legal limit anyway? I'd like to go 20% all-round.
BTW, I look forward to seeing some of you guys cruising around the city
Originally posted by IROC_5796 well 20% is way past legal limit, i think its somewhere around 40-50%
40-50%, hmm. Well, I would attempt to do the sides myself, but not the hatch. BTW can't the back be darker then the sides? I'm pretty sure the back can be darker then 40%, but I don't know the exact amount.

Another Winnipeger here born and raised. Nice to see a lot of locals on this scene. I have a '91 RS bought in california (NO RUST) which I have gone and ripped out the old tbi and 700r4 and placed in gently a '98 ls1/t56 into. Plus did a bunch of other stuff like suspension, steering linkages, brakes, new rear axle (4th gen with disc brakes and 3.73) new exhaust, polyurethane bushings all away around, redid the interior, new ecm and wiring harness, fuel pump, tires, chipped...all the goodies. And this winter i decided 345hp wasn't enough so i put in new cnc ls6 heads, cam, intake manifold, and push rods...plus got a larger throttle body..88mm to 93mm..so it will be on the road in a week and a half. Just have to wait for the new valve covers to come in. My brother and I did about 95% of the work on this project so...let's just say i'm ready to drive it more and work on it less. I drove it for most of last summer and let's just say it raised a few eyebrows....especially when you're pullin away from a c5vette.
To kickin a## and burnin gas in manitoba.
See ya on the road.
Hey fellow Thirdgeners - I have a 1984 Firebird that I am restoring. Need to fix some rust and need parts such as wiper/washer motor, seats, air co, rear springs and various other do-dads. I live in Headingley just west of Winnipeg. I am really looking forward to getting help and advice from other members. Any advice gratefully accepted. Glad to be on board!

The best jobs I've ever seen came out of Winter's Autobody on (Arlington?)....
Packers autobody on Marion St did a great job on my GTA years ago can't vouch for them this many years later though - people come and go......
Hey everyone, became a member about 1 month ago. I just bought a 86 IROC-Z out of the US, planning on making it a really nice street car. I am just waiting to get some pricing from Sandale.
I am putting in a 4 link with narrowed 9 inch ford, 572 GM crate motor with F2 procharger, I plan on using 31.5 x 18.5 MT on the back. Also just ordering new tubular K-member and A arms and I am going to use the new drop spindles. Should be a realgood looking fast street car
hi guys just to let you know there is a camaro club of maitoba now.
It just started in september. Always looking for 3rd gen members. mailto:manitobacamaroclub@mts.net
Hey, if anyone knows of someone in Winnipeg who is looking, I have a mint IROC hood for sale complete with louvers, asking 300.00 for it. If interested just PM me here
Hey guys, I now have World 305 S/R Torquer heads for sale. I bought them 2 years ago while collecting parts for a top end rebuild. Unfortunately they've been sitting in my basement that whole time, and I have since bought AFR's 180 eliminator's instead. I just didn't want to go bigger at a later date so I went with the best!
These heads have been ported and polished...... including the chambers (to be run with the 350 and prevent detonation)
They have 170 cc intake runners 1.94/1.50" valves.
Comp Cams 986 dual valvesprings good till.600"
I have pictures..... but the file size is too big to add here.....
I thought that I would try to sell them locally first.
PM me if interested!

Hey everyone. New to the boards and 3rdGens. Just picked up a 89 Firebird. It was originally a V6 but it came with a carbed 350. There's a bit of work done to the engine. Needs a new transmission but that should get done over the winter

looking for..
front and rear springs if they're not too worn down...
i could take the bra if you're going to discard it,
front air dam,
front chin spoiler... preferably from a 92 but don't mind other years..
If the bra is still available, I'd really appreciate being able to pick that up. Going to store the car out of town this year and sparing the bumper from all the stones and bugs would be awesome.
I live on Milner Ridge east of Beausejour. Reading the Moates website it sure looks like the way to go. I probably am still another year away from getting my project back on the road so it will be a long time before I can comment on how my Megasquirt project is turning out.
Its nice to see there are other people on this site who will have to face the same weather tomorrow morning as I do ( -17 C, +1 F ). Misery loves company.
Hey guys.....
Who here in Manitoba has a MPI immobilizer and a Factory VATS system???
I haven't had my car insured in 2+ years cause they want me to put one in!!!
I'm trying to come up with enough info to persuade them to over look it. Something tells me that they don't care....
Anybody?

I don't have a immobilizer and they never asked me about it. I have 91 GTA.

I had to put one in 2 years ago. I got an 88 Iroc. I haven't had any problem with it. Two winters with the battery out no troubles starting in the spring. The 88 didn't have anything from the factory like the special keys with the chip in it.
