Ive over heard that this sunday there is a 60% chance of precipitation... is this a rain or shine gathering?? dont want to spoil the mood but we should be ready in case.
I've thought about that too... and I can't really see the fun in hangin around inside, cowering from the rain while our cars sit outside. The only thing is, if people are coming from places other than the lower mainland for this meet, then how are they to know what the weather is doing up here!? Personally... I think we should just bite the bullet and assume the best. The big langley car show is happening up until the day before (saturday), and I wouldn't assume they'd plan that on a rainy day.
Cross your fingers, everyone.
Meanwhile my car still isn't running, and I'm running out of time. The electrical problem has defeated me, and I don't have anything else to try. I think I'll break down and take it to the garage at the bottom of the hill from me... it'll cost for sure, but at least that way I'll have a working (yet stripped interior-wise) car. I need it for work anyway
If your not that far away, I don't mind having a look-see. My crediencials are Electrical Engineer with 6 years of car audio, plus I love 3rd gens.
IROCNParts, I think that the best route for me to follow is to get a new camaro, and put my parts in it. I think for now thats what I have to do. I do have a truck though, so I'll be there at the meet with pictures and info at least! I think I know someone with a shell I can pick up for cheap. Thank you again for your help!
Fat J and I spoke to some guys at one of the local gas stations who we happened to notice drive some pretty nice little camaros, a clean RS (andrew) and a 25th z28 (duncan). They told us they'd come for sure, and I just called and confirmed with Andrew. So notch down 2 more people for the meet
I'm about to go see about getting my car working. Damn i hope this works out
wow, most of you guys are all in your early 20's??? damn i thought for sure id be the youngest one! im 22. well i guess thats one less thing to worry about i cant wait to see some of the mods you guys have done to your cars. anyone got a rear gold spoke GTA rim they wana sell? mines kinda bent....
you guys arent really worryed about a little rain are ya?
hey thats alright, i might be bringin a guy from work with me who is in his 30's. hes great at makeing conversation with new people age doesnt really matter in this case anyway does it? were just a bunch of guys with cool cars meeting up right?
I justed checked the weather and I plan to no longer look cause it changed again ... but in our favor 40% only ..... damn how do you get a job like that where you can just make it up by the swirls of satellite photo's :lala:
IROCNParts, whats your site, I said what it was last night but I never caught it. YOUR CAR F***** ROCKS! I like the grey Firebird too! Both machines are very nice and clean.
Thanks to everyone for comin out.. I think the count ended up being 16 cars -- and even more people; a very nice turn-out for such a throw-together affair.
For those of you who I didn't get to meet, I was the guy with the black t/a with chrome wheels and blue underbody neon kit... and stripped interior
I didn't take all that many pics, but I've put them on my server machine, so take a browse if you like.
If anyone wants higher resolution versions of the 640x480 pics (I took them at 1280*1024), email me at steve_hodges@hotmail.com and let me know which pics you'd like.
sorry I mist looked like good times. Im on Vancouver Island will be in Van from the 19th to 24 doing Def Leppard on the 23rd wont have my car though the pics look great you guys got some nice cars here's mine
me too, and.. I just got my exhaust done. flowmaster muffler
sounds more throaty... see if my car is on the road, will try to pass air care tomorrow.
I recommend: budget brake and muffler on royal oak... guy did a good job, even if it did take a long time (had to wait on the pipe with the funny bend in it)
Wouldn't recommend: kirmac on horseshoe way in richmond, my SFCs are still not installed and I found out today that they won't do them. (2 weeks after they said they would)
just got a new cat installed....
and only failed HC by 5, 95, max is 90 ppm. any suggestions... it's TPI. help, insurance expires on monday... fuel tank is mostly full of 94 octane...
how long did you sit in the lineup? if it was for a while then thas prolly why u failed... just boot around real good before going and go when theres not much of a lineup, sittin there for a bit tends to bring up your HC reading... so ya, just go again, im sure it'll pass

What ya running for fuel, Chevron or Mohawk? Mohawk is the absolute best. Will knock those readings down and the car will run much better. Is the oil fresh? Dirty oil will increase the HC. Try another couple of degrees of timing if your timing is stock or close to it. That will decrease HC. Most important of all...how old is the O2 sensor?
Try a different testing station. Some have better staff than the others. Mapleridge seems to give the best pass success withl HP xars. Coquitlam's not bad either.
i think it costs 23 dollars, but ive never been there before so im not sure. they list the admission fees here and im not sure what "class" we would fall under: http://www.missionraceway.com/admission.html
Those readings still seem really high. Mine got 0 HC's at idle (after I put cats back on heh). I was able to pass the driving HCs no problem without cats.
