Toyota schmoyota, I have 215,000 on my Mazda and still going strong. Now a third gen as reliable as that would be great. The only thing I have ever replaced on this car mechanically was the cv joints But I would have to say a third gen Iroc was always one of my dream cars in high school and now I have one

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish, and he will sit on a boat drinking beer for a life time
ever since i was about 5 or 6 i always wanted a nice 3rd gen..Well now i've got a 84 Z28 that i'm finishing up and i couldnt be much happier with it.
LT1fun...i've got one of those sitting in the garage...doesnt look anywhere nere as good as that one..but someday it might. It would look good if the stance was abit lower and he chose a different style of wheel..But i like the big wheel look.
but my ultimate dream...an F-body from every generation..all of them with a blower(roots or centrifugical[sp?]) on each one.

2 years of sitting on it,it's time to get back at it.
I guess I would have to say it, the car that took my breath away! As a young lad of 13 years I first saw it they were few and far between unlike today ... as my freind says it's the original clown car with the rubber nose, but I did'nt care.
I walked out of a store minding my own business when I turned to see it, glistening in the sun in all it's maroon matallic glory; the first 1973 Corvette I had ever seen. I guess I liked it because it was different smoooooth and sleek, of course as I have learned more over the years it just had to be an original L-82 4spd car with air, windows, locks, sport suspension, and full leather; aaaahhhh a boy can dream eh!
To be honest the only other car to stirr that emotion was when my brother brought home a brand new right out of the box grey metalic 82 Z28. This experience has led me to my 85 Z28 project, but with kids and a house to pay for this I can afford.
As they say though ... "Dare to dream boys ... dare to dream!"
I got it in 85.......now I am working on the next dream on the right.... haven't decided on the induction system for it yet..... sorta hard not to picture a blower on it lol!

My dads, #s matching 1967 Camaro z/28. Hes owned it since new. The day I left for the Army, he finally let me drive it. ( for 5 mins ). Or a 69 Yenco sc Camaro.
I know of that exact car. A farmer has it near my dads farm. Its also a 1971 with a matching numbers 455... and a shaker hood assembly. The cool part? he wants $200 for it. Its maroon with a maroon interior. But its in very rough shape, so I left it there. The farmer knows what it is, and even he's just junked it: the body is VERY rough... but the interior is great. There is one just like that, but a 1973 in Calgary, he wanted $3500 for it. Its brown, with a 350. But that was a few years ago.
My mazda had 400,000 km on it, so I know about how long it can last. Any GM built before 1995 is pretty much a crap-shoot. now their REALLY paying for it today. Anything 2002 or newer by GM is amazingly reliable. I work up in Whitecourt, in the oil & gas industry: you NEVER see these "reliable" Toyota's up there... just GM's Ford's and Dodges. TOYota's are just little Toy's, they can't take the **** the Domestic trucks can. But I can really vote for the lack of reliablility of the Third gen's. Mine's a frickin' disaster. Coolant leaks both inside the car (heater core) and near the rad.. electrical problems: I'm not suprised most people just gave up and went with a Jap car. But I'll never do that.... especially now. My Japanese import car's that I've owned over the years cost me $25-30K in un-scheduled maintenence and repairs... so long live the . My old 1984 S10 had 842,000km on it. Over the three years I've owned it: I sunk $900 in repairs into it. The cool part: I didn't ever leave me by the side of the road like my Jap crap cars did about 15 or so times. I'd love to see a Toyota truck do even half of the 842,000 km's.. and run as good as my little S10 used to.
My dream car is a Diablo Roadster: of which I'm currently saving up for. (as well as rebuilding my 1990 GTA)

Any 91/92 z28-As long as I got to build it....too bad money is always going to be an issue. Other than that, a Ferrari F355 GTS-Yellow w/ black interior. Always had a soft spot for that one.
I always dreamed of a 5 speed Iroc hard top which I have now, but other cars that I would not mind having would be:
1.1994-96 Impala SS Dark Cherry with all bolt ons possible and still pass smog(I live in Cali.)
2.Buick Grand National
3.84-87 Monte Carlo SS
4.Copo Camaro doesn't matter what year
5.90's Caprice Wagon.
6. And finally if I ever have enough money, a Z06 Corvette.
