There used to be a firebird place in Woodbridge, Ontario but I'm stumped as to how I found them before. I think they were listed in on of those parts mags you get at convenience stores. Like older auto trader or that one that looks like a newspaper and sells all kinds of stuff. I'm sure you can change the above links to look in other cities.
I have dealt with him personally on many occasions and know lots of people who have. His pricing is really good and I haven't run into anything he can't get yet. Call him up and tell him Scott Ritcey sent you. He will look after you. I think I saw your car at Miller Tire this summer. Nice ride.
This is true. Especially with our dollar higher right now.
But.... I thought you don't pay duty, or am I thinking Tarriffs? I'm only just starting out on ordering things from the states. And the wonderful border people have yet to answer my email asking what do I do if I pay here (through online payment) and then go pick it up and bring it back myself.

If a product is made in the U.S. or Mexico there will be NO DUTY due to the "Free Trade Agreement", PST and GST will apply if the cost I believe is over $20.00 for the item. If the item you are ordering from the US is not made in North America for example Japan...duty and taxes will apply.
If you ship from the US, try to avoid UPS. They are the one that charge the most custom duties... They once charged me a 100$ for a 125$ part.
Agreed, UPS will charge a very high "brokerage fee" which is a "rip-off". Always check when ordering from the U.S. to see if other shipping carriers can be used like U.S Postal Service (USPS) which has international parcel services.

Anyone got some links to Canadian part dealers (tired of paying custom duties, etc, etc,
This place has a super catalog (no pricing though) of items available in Canada...from my experience they do take a very long time to reply for quotes. I waited 3 weeks for a quote and ended up ordering from the U.S. during the long wait. When I finally got the quote it was $12.00 more than the price I paid from the U.S. which wasn't too bad cause it would have shipped faster within Canada. http://www.ultimateperformancecar.co...FQ9wZQodBH_z7Q
I think if I buy now regardless of the GST going down in January I think it'll balance out, place I'm looking at getting my engine from has stated prices are going up in January - but by how much, who knows.
I have a number of a place here in NS that I use, great little machine shop and he has good prices and gets the parts quick. JPC Mechanical 1-902-396-5049....ask for peter.
