Hey all, hate to say it but I am selling my 1990 GTA. I bought it last fall for $3500 bone stock. I put probably close to $5000 into it and am only asking $3500k for it. I have just lost all my will to work on it. After putting in a lot of money and a ton of hours she just won't run right for me.
I think she needs a bottom end rebuild or a short block. So for the price a a decent 350 short block you could get this car running well and even flip it to make some cash.
Just some of the things done:
New 416 heads with bigger valves
Changed trans, supposed to be a recent rebuild, shifted ok in the little I drove it. It has a brand new 2/3 transgo shift kit and new 3-3.6k 10" stall convertor.
cc305 cam
Crane gold rockers
LT1 intake
LS1 injectors
Stewart stage II aluminum water pump
MSD ignition (distributor/coil)
All new exhaust, edelbrock tes headers, Pacesetter catback (sounds awesome, vid on cardomain in sig) No cat, all 3"
New Taylor wires
New front tires
Eibach pro's
J&M adjustable panhard bar
New 255lph fuel pump
New rad
New ball joints, outer tie rods.
AND alot of blood, sweat and yes tears.
For pics and the buildup See my cardomain page in my sig. You will be hard pressed to find a better deal than this!
Trust me it kills me to sell her but I just can't see myself tearing it all apart again after I just got done putting it together
Dunno how many gunmetal grey 1990 gta's were built but I am pretty sure it was very few, especially canadian models.
Re: FS: 1990 rare gunmetal grey GTA, southern Alberta
I assume its a 350 in there already? What was wrong with the tpi? Will it drive for 5 hours on the highway as it sits? I will be in the hat next week all week maybe I'll come check it out. Don't tell the wife.
Re: FS: 1990 rare gunmetal grey GTA, southern Alberta
Yeah its a 350, it wouldn't make a 5 hour drive. Fuel pump is not coming on now and I just don't feel like dropping the tank again since I just put that pump in

Getting tired of looking at this car. First $1500 can have it. If it doesn't sell here i'll put it in the paper for either $2000 or 2.5 and if it still doesn't sell I guess i'll just have to fix it lol.

Oh yeah I did get the fuel pump working again.
Im still planning on stopping by once the snows gone.......

I still have it but the closer it is getting to spring the more I am getting the itch to tear into her again. I have actually just started looking into getting parts for a 383 build and have been trying to get as much info as I can on tuning.

If you are still interested in selling the car just let me know, I'm ready to get it as early as next weekend possibly, we will be driving down from Fort McMurray
Thanks

Like I said in the original post the car does have issues but it is running. It will need a battery since the one in it is brand new and I will probably keep it for my truck.
