I have a 90 TA GTA,with headlight problems. As soon as I turn the key ahead the lights pop up and turn on, even with the light switch in the off postion. Sometimes while driving the car, they will go down. When this happens I can operate them with the switch as normal. I haven't attemted to replace or repair anything yet, I wanted to get advice on the problem rather than waste time and money.
1990 gm canadian cars should have a light sensonr possible by rh front speaker in dash pad. i know camaro does because my 92 will turn its lights on by itslef were as all my other cars are us and don't have that feature. so i would say your car is normal

I have a 92 T/A and it does the same thing. Because we live in canada we have to have day-time running lites on 24 hrs a day. They probably pop up in the shade and go down in the sun. A cloud will even make them pop up again......Pain in the a#s if u ask me.
