Well after many hours of cutting, forming, trimming, and adhering, I finally finished my amp rack/box. For now, I am puttin my CD changer and Amp in there. Then when I get my other amp, it will replace the cd changer.
I used 3/4" MDF and stretche vinyl. For the bird and the letters I used 1/4" cardboard. The glue I used held very well...I also used a heat gun to help form the vinyl around the letters and the bird.
I bought grommets and such to go around the holes that the wires that will exit the box. I am also going to make a quick connect plug for the wires that I can easily disconnect when I remove the box (ie-for track racing/drag strip).
This box is for my 95 TA, but thought it was relavent...if in fact anyone wants to do it for their thirdgen.
Tha box looks way better than my crappy amp box. all thoe I think mine looks really bad with carpet on it, it would look 10 times better with proper carpet on it.
