NO the colors are not the same as the factory harness. Off the pioneer colors are as follows
Red=Constant power
Yellow= Swithed power
black=ground
greens=left rears
whites=^ front
purples=right rear
greys=^ front
Blue=Pwr Antena wire
Blue/white stripe=amp turn onA
As far as speakers solid color= + solid color/stripe=-

If you have orange or brown wires just tape them off you dont need them in a 3rd gen

from the aftermarket radio, wire colors are:
Constant: yellow
Accessory: red
Ground: black
Front right +: white
Front right - : white w/ black stripe
Front left +: grey
Front left -: grey w/ black stripe
Rear right +: purple
Rear right -: purple w/ black stripe
Rear left +: green
Rear left -: green w/ black stripe

factory wiring:
Constant: orange
Accessory: yellow
Ground: black
Front right +: light green
Front right -: dark green
Front left +: tan
Front left -: grey
Rear right +: dark blue
Rear right -: light blue
Rear left +: brown
Rear left -: yellow

* for the rear colors you might have to test because they look exactly like other wires (accessory, and dimmer/illumination wires). but that is if you dont have the factory harness. trust me on the colors ( i work at Circuit City in the roadshop. i know GM wiring colors like the back of my hand)

i work at store 3635 in lansing. the only store in the lansing area now since they closed the East Lansing location. yeah, im about to quit there too...go to best buy (hehehe). too many things are changing at my store and they are driving a lot of business away...not to mention if i had better installers, and installers w/ a personality, it might actually be somewhat fun...
