Focal speakers and Alpine amps ???

Just wondering if any one out there has experience with Focal speakers 4" 100vslims front and 6x9 690CV rears. These where recomended by local Boomer shop.Head unit is a Alpine CDA 9885 with 10" Alpine sub SWS1023 and two Alpine amps MRPM450 400X1 and MRPF250 50x4. So far the only thing I have purchased is the head unit. Anyones thought would be great

Re: Focal speakers and Alpine amps ???

I work at a local boom shop and my experience with alpine and focal has been fairly good.though for our cars ive never liked any front speaker mounted in that small 4x6 dashpad location for front stage no matter what speaker personally.I always suggest easily making front kick panels and install 5.25 up to 6.5 speakers for much better sound all around.focal speakers are very nice non harsh sounding speakers at high levels but can be a lil pricey depending on what you choose and do require a decent amp.and if possible..a small layer of dynamat in the 6x9 locations will help alot.that alpine deck is a good deck..some have been known for poor radio reception.. almost a constant static but if you dont listen to radio much then no big deal.apline amps havent failed me yet except for the higher end pdx 1000w amps blowing fuses out of the box.sub wise i would have gone one step up and got the type r forthe lil diff in price.any other questions just ask.
