1986 firebird radio dying....

Hey guys I have a delco radio out of my 86 firebird base model that is dying.

My left rear speaker has not signal/power going to it. I have plugged a good test speaker and even another good speaker to make sure it wasnt a bad speaker. All of the other speakers work except the passengers side rear 6x9.

Is there any way to fix the head-unit that is causing this problem. The front speakers both work (R to L fader changes between the two As does Front to Back fader for ft. to rear.)

Or should I just get a new head unit and adapter plate? I would like to keep it stock though.

Thanks, Trey.

Re: 1986 firebird radio dying....

probably not....the way ur explaining it sounds as if the rear left channel has has burnt out. if u wanna keep it an original delco then ur best bet is to get one from the junkyard because the dealer will charge you an arm and a leg.
