Performance Sound with After Market Sub

Has anyone connected the Performance Sound switch to an after market amp and sub? Has anyone gotten this to work with an after market head unit?

What switch are you talking about? My friends 1985 IROC had a switch that sure looked factory and said "SUBWOOFER" on it, that was the first I'de ever seen it is that what you're talking about? If it is we used his to run his cooling fan so yeah it would be no problem to hook an aftermarket amp to it.

I think he's talking about the firebird one, for cars that came stock with the small subs and amp. On the stock system, it controls the subwoofer amp gain. I'm not sure what it could control on an aftermarket setup, other than turning the amp on/off. I need to find something to do with mine, since the stock subs are long gone.

It would be cool to make it into an amp switch. It would also be nice if you could use the fader to control the amount of signal to the sub.
