antenna options

Well it looks my factory power antenna is dying. What are my options? Links and experince getting an aftermarket antenna would be helpful

Options are simple. Either replace it with another power antenna or replace it with a regular one. It's that simple.

I replaced my bad power antenna years ago with another power antenna. It finally died last year and I replaced it with a regular shorty style antenna to save weight and money since this antenna only costed $6 versus $36 for a power one. Not to mention that when a power antenna dies, your reception is crap but this little guy will work forever. You can score any of them at Pep Boys, etc.

You could shave the power antenna and replace it with one of these:

That's what I did and reception is incredible. I routed mine from the radio, under the dash, and up into the passenger side A pillar. I also bought an antenna extension - the looks of the car are greatly improved.
