Where to mount so that it is hidden and 12 disc cd changer.

Not sure where to mount a amplifier so it would not be seen. I read in the forums that it can be mounted to the back seat and hidden behind it. I'd like to keep it from getting hot as well. Don't really car for the rear seating mounting. I also have 12 disc cd changer that I would like to mount hidden as well. As anyone made a well box that just holds the amplifier and a 12 disc cd changer? Just seems like a hard task to figure out. I want to use the stock speaker locations as well. So I don't want to use one of those well subwoofer boxes. I'm thinking of a enclosure in the well, that would hold the amplifier and the 12 disc cd changer. Probably would want some type of hinged lid so I could access the 12 disc cd changer. This would be going in a 87 Trans AM. Probably put a couple of cooling fans in the enclosure to keep everything cool.

I think you pretty much figured it out. That well is your best bet. I was going to suggest that you add fans, but then you had to add that last sentence :P.
You can run wires through that side vent and through the trim or just under the trim at the bottom.

Also, just build a plate that covers it and then a bottom piece to mount to. It shouldn't be too complex.

I should have really edited that message. Quite a bit of doesn't make any sense. LOL! I wonder who makes a custom enclosure such as the one I would like to have made?

I wanted a enclosure low enough that I could still put something in the well on top of the enclosure. Working out the logistics of how to get everything to fit the way I want it to is perplexing. I don't have access to the car until spring anyway. So I'm putting the cart ahead of horse.

if you dont want to carry the factory spare wheel, you can mount the amp and changer in that spot. it will be well hidden and no danger over heating.
