The factory stereo in my '83 Trans Am started acting up again and I decided that it was time to treat myself to something new instead of repairing the factory one again. I'm not a big fan of aftermarket stereo appearance and wanted something that looked clean and stock.

I decided to machine a new face plate.

Your '89 radio pod has a couple of A/C ducts that my '83 doesn't have. I know that I had to notch them to install a 4th gen radio in my old '88 GTA. A double din radio is narrower that the factory radio so it may clear.

Thanks.

All of the torx screws around the gauges are fake. The gauge bezel is one big piece.
